<p>So sorry to read this, such a sad time for any owner. I lost my blue boy in the summer, he was approaching 10 but went into heart failure, it is so awful when there is nothing you can do for them but that last act of kindness.</p>

<p>Unfortunatly we have an appointment this week with the vet to say goodbye, not fair to a lovely dog to keep him anylonger. He is still so happy and bright but has lost 10kilos and now has only 15% of kidney function left so is starting to become doddery and thing are starting to be painful as his muscle has almost all gone. Will let you know more later.</p>

<p>I am so sorry I missed this topic earlier... I am so sorry to hear about your boy. I have not experienced renal failure in my dogs but I really do hope that your little man holds on a lot longer than expected. </p>
