Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

Hi ! Oberon is a fanatic eater of raw tomatoes: he likes to have some bits everytime I prepare a salad. I recently read they are in the list of poisoning foods for dogs.. never heard this before in 20years of owning dogs, but maybe info were far more limited some time ago.. Does someboby have any clue on this? thanks !!!

I totally agree with Margaret on the "collective fears about imaginary and non existent threats" I am sure it is a way of keeping the population under control and eternally dependent.......
If you read the old herbalists garlic and onions were both used as an internal cleanser. Garlic in particular was recommended for roundworm etc. A friend of mine gives his English Setter a clove of garlic in his food most days and he swears the dog doesn't even pick up ticks. My dogs love tomatoes, eat garlic etc etc and have never had problems with this. Very soon there will be nothing safe to eat!!!
Maybe the scare stories originate from the US because the growers are allowed to produce genetically modified crop whereas we are not.
I also agree with Margaret on the Global warming issue.......but that is another discussion!!!!
Global warming >>....my Fred's output of noxious gases must add to this enormously,if you believe what you read,.I have thought of plumbing him into the gas supply but I don't think he would stay still for long! The other two dogs have a relatively low output!
