Welcome, you have chosen the very best - I have had Setters for 29 years
and presently have two with a new baby being picked up next month
- have patience for the first couple of years and work with the dog - make
sure it gets excercise and lots of love - in return you will not ever know
what hit you - they are huge love bugs and do want to please and
you will forever more be loved well - just make sure you love that baby
back.

You know there are a lot of good books out there - some basic training wouldn t hurt
and then be consistent. These dogs are so loving and sensitive - they are also
real clowns - love the picture - look forward to more. I will post when my
puppy arrives - within weeks - looking forward to it.
Welcome to this site! I wish you all the best with the new puppy. He will turn your lives upside down and you will go through a steep learning curve I am sure. Best to get in touch with a good trainer for some classes to get you started. Have fun!
