Absolutely love love Irish Setters - we also have two little long haired rescue doxies - they kind of look like Irish setters with short legs - but our fave is the Irish Setter. We have had
8 Irish Setters throughout the years and we did one litter which provided us with the gift of 7 wonderful little redheads.
We kept two one little boy and one girl - we lost the last of that group a year ago- very sad.
Very sorry about the lost of your beautiful Molly, it is a very devastating experience, that most of us know too well. Hope you will post plenty of pictures of her too. I cannot wait to see your new addition .... :-)
Thanks for the good wishes and the welcome Lynne. Sorry to hear about Molly. Our dogs are such special creatures and yes we really looking forward to capturing all the antics of the little ones as they progress.
Managed to get a few pics today but its still a bit confusing and still trying to establish who's who. I initially posted only 9 photos and was puzzled for a while as to who I had forgotten. Learned later that I had omitted 'Blue' Anyway looking forward to hearing all the setter stories and learning all the tips. Such a great website. Til next time take care
Many thanks for the welcome. Now would never consider any other breed of dog. He is everything I wanted from a dog and couldn't ask for a better natured dog.
The only things he doesn't do is chase balls and come straight away when you call him. But thats part of his personality.
Finally I have a chance to read a little online. The babies.... they keep me so busy here 24/7. I will miss them with all of my heart. It's hard to believe they are almost 5 weeks old now and will all leave here for their new homes in 3 more weeks. This is a very nice forum, thank you for suggesting that I join. Once my babies are all at their new homes, I will have more time to read this forum . and be online. Your 2 babies are eating very well now, I will have new pictures on Sunday, hopefully I will also get them on the website Sunday night and will not be as late as I was to finish all the pictures from last Sunday. Here are your babies:
Lynne I would love to see a picture of you. My Father was from Vancouver originally from Ireland what is your maiden name maybe we need to do a family tree! We named Micawber after Mr Micawber out of David Copperfield and I was trying to come up with an original name for your new boy. So far only Benton from Patricia Cornwell thrillers. Do let me see some pictures and what part of Canada were you from? I have only got as far as Toronto as family moved to Aus so will be out there for 6 wks later this month
Hi Lynne Did you pick up your 2 new babies & does that mean that you have got 4 setters now? Would love to hear how you are getting on with them!
Our new boy is 8 months now & we have had great fun with him over the Christmas holidays - he has been such a character & his personality grows by the day. And I am sure he is keeping my old boy young!
Hope to hear from you soon

Oh my dear friend Rose,
They are so precious - I am thirlled to be coming to first of all meet you and John and to meet
all your wonderful redheads and ultimately to smell the sweet puppy breath and finally hold
my precious new members of my family. This has been a journey that started out with tears
for both you and I and will now continue with smiles and happy stories to share as we see
these precious babies grow. You have done a wonderful job with these babies - they could
not want for more - they have only known love and care - something all dogs should have
the right to. I m so glad that your Eliza and my Molly brought us together - those two red
heads certainly knew that we needed this friendship and I hope it continues for the rest
of our lives - i truly treasure this. Thank you. Lynne
