"Hello Chester. What a beauty you are. I wish I could have another pupper, but 3 is enough for me, which is a shame as Daisy's breeder has another litter at the moment. Good luck with this little one."
Hi there Deborah, welcome to the site I am sure you will like it here. I first went out to buy an English setter but there wasn't one to be had, so I bought an Irish. That was 37 years ago I still have the Irish, (obviously not the same one) Dee and the girls
Hi there, the first Irish I got was by default, I went to get an English (orange) I knew no different and when to a 'puppy farm' and ended up with an Irish. Poor little thing had to be taken back, and a neighbor found Ross 'who's picture is on my website' I never did get my English, I have always had a love for them though. A Great Dane I don't have the room for it, 'great' dogs but too big for me, If I had a husband I am sure that he would put his foot down at any more, my ex didn't want me to have any more dogs well I have more dogs and no husband. I do have 4 grandchildren now though, they take a lot of my time. Nice to meet you too. Dee and the girls
where are you in the country. im in s.o. t. Do you want to keep a dog or bitch.would you like to ring me for a chat then i could explain in more detail.
You say they are 7 wks old. you need to stand them in show pose take picture front and side of each one in the litter dogs and bitches. i give all new owners one of those shots anyhow.but thats the start.
>aAn operation may be the answer but as yet she is to young for that upset. If you are still getting puppy calls you could pass them on to me.As for picking out a bitch puppy look at the photo and focus on strifle, shoulders and front. the head is last to complete. But the bone density and correct bend are important. You need a good front because unless you can guarantee enough hill work to help drop the chest it wont have a starting point. All this can be seen from photos taken usually at 5-6 wks but in your case you need to do them straight away as they are changing now all the time. And they will be off soon and you dont want to make the wrong choice.
i dont use bins as you say they get in them . i use a carry bag in the window. also the cats go in that so sometimes rubbish is in the sink.i used to have a bin with the flat lid and they used to leave that alone but the rest i give up.have you taken your pics yet.
i wouldnt pick the one that comes to you because you love them all.i pick out would you believe at birth then at 5-6wks photo has given me the same bitch on every litter ive had. so my gut instinct as been proven at that point.with cory he was the biggest pup and he grew into my heart because he was so advanced.
hello, a good friend of mine has 3 great danes, they are so funny and sweet dogs. both of my irish girls are big ones but look so little when we are in the company of the danes ;-) you can find some photos of them (GD) in my photoalbum - i have lots of photos though, so it might be a hard task to find them :-) wish you all the best, laura
