Profile Information

How many Irish Setters do you have?
I only sell in co ownership now so not sure of the total as many don't live with me.
How long have you owned Irish Setters?
I commenced breeding and seriously exhibiting in 1968
About Me:
I have been passionate about the breed since purchasing my first showdog in 1968 when I also registered the EIREANNMADA prefix.
I have been fortunate to be able to visit regularly the USA and England and have imported from both countries. The Eireannmada bloodline is based on the classic Wendover lines of Ballymoss Kennels in New Zealand established by Frank and Betty Cantwell.and Timadon UK.
The Stud dog Aust and NZ CH Ballymoss O Dougal represents the closest individual I have seen to the ideal breed type.
It with his type in mind I have combined the most successful of USA lines to further develop upon those original lines.
In recent times the use of frozen semen from the UK and USA has been used to further the breeding program.I have been licensed to judge the breed for many years and have judged in throughout Australia New Zealand and on two occasions awarded CC's in the UK.
Eireannmada stud dogs such as Arizona Montana, Wells Fargo Mustafa, At Tulane At Harvard Windsor Prince o Wales feature prominently in pedigrees of many contemporary dogs.
Eireannmada bitches also feature as the dams of many of the top winners over the last decades.

Hi Greg,

I have long admired your setters. I have owned setters for 30 years my eldest now is from Ch Brechins Bliss & Ch Eireannmada Mustafa she is 10. I was lucky enough to meet Carrie just recently at the Southern Highlands Show and watch her at work with her beautiful boy. I mentioned to her my ideal dog would be Roddy. It is so exciting to see the breed at its best. I hope when I come to buy my next dog, there will be something really special around.

Regards Di
