A group for Canadian setter owners to discuss whatever your fancy is at the moment. It can be anything from how your dog handles the cold or your latest win in a small town.
I'm not familiar with the brands you are feeding but any good quality food is best.
If you think of posting how Frost is doing periodically and what the vet had to say then I will look forward to hearing your updates.
Happy trails!
Jennifer
Hello,
Within reason a lean dog is probably going to be healthier in the long run than a dog that is overweight.
Setters can have voracious appetites and when ours was that age we added cooked pureed yams, along with some cut up apple and green be...
Hi there Jennifer
No there is nothing wrong with their temperament's they just EAT everything in site, on the beech its Kelp storks and Jellyfish and in the woods its sticks etc, so I have the box muzzles so they can still drink but can't eat anything, it doesn't make a good picture but it keeps the vet bills down and the carpet in the bedroom clean (because that it where they usually sick stuff up).
And yes I am a techno-phobe as well it took me absolutely ages to post pictures especially my main picture. Don't know how old you are but at my age its so difficult and new, so easy for the younger generation......
Nice talking to you, speak soon Dee and the girls
Great to hear from you, Jennifer!
My husband had to help me too, in the beginning! Have confidence, you will become au fait with how it all works - and what a lot of fun.
Look forward to seeing your photos and hearing your news.
Cheers,
Myra.
