I wonder if one of the members knows about her books, herbal medicine, her Afghan Hounds , the natural rearing- are they still worth looking for, or do you think her methods are too old fashioned? I am not sure if I should buy them? Thanks, Eva

Hope 2010 also brings you much happiness. I really do love looking at photo's of your girls - they look so happy and contented yet have so much love.
So pleased you enjoyed the new photo's - I agree the Suteresett kennel have had some lovely stock and their new puppies that are about 9 months old are really cracking and just ooze quality and type I love.
Alfie did me proud at the show yesterday by achieving a 2nd place inthe Open class, he's coming together so nicely and I am looking forward to showing him more this year. Harry leads a lazy life on the sofa waiting for us to return! Then they have a mad half hour and curl up asleep together.

My boys just love going to the woods for a walk. Mind you they get so dirty but their tails don't stop wagging;-) Just love to see them so happy and running around without a care. It is hard work sorting them out afterwards - but they are worth it and enjoy the extra attention.

Du hast recht, der Gesunheit wäre es auf jeden Fall gedient, wenn eine Zuchtbeschränkung auferlegt würde, in Lebzeiten 10 Würfe... dann würden die Deckrüdenbesitzer ihren Rüden nicht gleich ab erstmöglichem Zeitpunkt für unbeschränkte Deckakte zur Verfügung stellen und auch die Züchter wären gezwungen, über den einzigen 'Toprüden' hinaus zu schauen. Ich fände es auch toll, wenn alte Rüden zur Zucht kämen - im Sinne von Altersfrische.
Der Zeit voraus? Ich weiss nicht, vor ein paar Jahren war das für mich ja alles auch neu und fremd, aber mit der Zeit freundet man sich mit neuem Gedankengut an und lernt dazu.
Wenn da ein kleiner Anfang gemacht wird, so lohnt es sich auf jeden Fall:-))
Und ehrlich gesagt: diess Diskussionen helfen mir selbst, mehr dazu zu lernen - Du glaubst nicht, wieviele Artikel ich in den letzten Tagen über Genetik gelesen habe... Du siehst, alles nur Eigennutz;-)
