I have a friend whos dog sucked and kneaded her blanket until the day she passed. She was the only dog I have ever seen who did this. Interesting that there are others who do it. I do not see any problem letting Bailey do it.

Hawk is entered in our first field trial this weekend, I hope we do not get lost as it is about 3 hours from home and we are leaving at 3am. I hate driving in the dark. I am sure he will have a wonderful time

When Scout became ill I put in a doggy door as he could not be left outside and it made it easier to train Hawk. When no one was home he followed the girls around and I only had a few accidents. Hawk sleeps all night I never had to take him out at...

Hi Kathie! Thanks for your answer. Good to hear about your old "lady". They are so vulnerable when they are so old and must be protected. I will tell my friend about the shoes./Elisabeth M&M

Hi Kathie, thank you for comment Happy birthdayblog....and I agree with Susanne about the slippers, are they made for dogs? It`s very usual that we all have floors not made for dogfeet and it`s a big trauma when they fall out with their legs and she is very sweet in them.

Hi there Kathie, I am sorry that I have brought back bad memories of your boy Scout I hope that only good memories remain for you, I hope Hawk has a wonderful long healthy life, that is all that can be asked of any dogs life...they deserve it...
As for your granddaughter she is so cute..I have 4 grandchildren 3 girls and a boy I look after two of the girls during the week (not both at the same time) I couldn't cope with that, just getting too old. All the best Dee and the girls

Hi Kathie Jo. Good luck with your new puppy - I just love the name "Hawk"! Definitely try the hunt tests with him, it really is alot of fun, and the dogs love it. You are ahead of the game if he is pointing already. I didn't expose my guy to birds until he was around 18mths... but the instincts kick in even at that age! Good Luck!
