Dear all,

I cannot find the words to describe how much I did NOT want to have to write this blog....but we recently read some very ugly & serious allegations here about ''copyright infringement" from one of the ES members. For myself I am not bothered as I am nothing to do with Discover Dogs & any any claims that I "stole" & published someone else's images are defammatary at best & spurious at least. However the lady actually concerned, my good friend, who gives her time voluntarily to decorate the stand at Crufts has been caused untold distress over this affair.

I had hoped the ES member concerned would have publicly acknowledged that the bargain struck had been honoured.
Sadly that has not proven to be the case.... so I would like to inform everyone that Jarno has, as promised by her, received his favourite image, blown up to A1 size & mounted on canvas & that all other of his images displayed on the Crufts stand, all of which acknowledged him as the photographer, have also been received by him.

How do I know this?
Because the member concerned has acknowledged receipt of them in a private email to Mr George Stephenson earlier this week.

I have therefore waited to see a public acknowledgement from him that the bargain struck has been fulfilled....it seems regrettably that I have waited in vain. Therefore let me be clear that 'Lady D' has done what she always promised she would & despatched all his published images back to him as per their original agreement.

Matter now closed I hope.

Let us hope that this site can now go back to celebrating our beautiful breed as Gene intended when he created it.
The breed standard calls for the dogs to be "demonstrably affectionate" it would be nice if all their owners emulated such a quality
ISAE & Setter and Pointer Spring Field Trialtag:irishsetters.ning.com,2010-04-15:865021:BlogPost:3117272010-04-15T14:04:33.000ZLynne Murray Hogsfleshhttp://irishsetters.ning.com/profile/LynneMurrayHogsflesh40

partridges & the birds were sticking very close to ground as it
was a very cold day with a bitter Southerly wind, so we did not see many
clean flushes.......in fact the dogs put up more Hares than birds &
some just could not resist the temptation of giving them a good old
chase....much to their owner's embarassment!

Chris Heron from
ISAE Committee was in attendance the whole day & she presented the
awards.....& as you will see from the photographs (more
photos on my page) she got an
unexpected award herself!!! :))

All in all a very enjoyable day
with an absolutely super bunch of people & their splendid dogs.

Our lovely Brits gave birth to 10 healthy babies on 13th January so now here at Clannad we have 6 additional little girls & 4 boys. They are adorable & I am getting no housework done at all! The pups will be 8 weeks for Crufts weekend & they would love to join Auntie Barbara's get together group but they haven't quite qualified yet.........next year perhaps?
My young dog, who is only 2 years of age, has just started to have great difficulty 'wee-ing' over the weekend & has had to be catheterised 3 times now to empty his bladder. His urine isn't too acidic or alkaline, tests negative for blood, or crystals or bacteria, a little protein in there but not so much that it worries the vet. He is desperate to go to the loo but just manages a dribble or two.....in an older dog the vet says she would immediately suspect prostrate trouble but apparently…

His urine isn't too acidic or alkaline, tests negative for blood, or crystals or bacteria, a little protein in there but not so much that it worries the vet. He is desperate to go to the loo but just manages a dribble or two.....in an older dog the vet says she would immediately suspect prostrate trouble but apparently this is really rare in such a young dog & on palpation it feels normal size not enlarged. She has also ruled out stones in his urethra as she can pass the catheter very easily so there doesn't seem to be any mechanical blockage or excessive inflammation which has closed it down. He is currently on antibiotics & anti-inflammatorys but I just wondered whether anyone else has experienced such symptoms in a young dog? Any advice welcome.
