Fleetwood Farm's I BELIEVE IN LUV had her puppies New Years Eve into New Years morning! However, only two of the puppies are male, IRISH BEAUTY is about to deliver also, so I'm going to see how many boys are in her litter. If there aren't enough males for the requests ahead of us, then I'll be getting a girl. Either is fine, I was just leaning toward a male. So I'll still have a new addition the last of Feb or first of March! Yippee! What personality differences have you experienced between male and female IS's?

Georgina, I'm dying to call to see if the other gal has had her puppies yet, but I don't want the breeder to roll her eyes when she hears my voice on her Voice Mail! lol  Honestly, I've tried not to pester her but I need to know what the outcome is...am I getting a bitch or dog? I have collars and leashes to buy, bedding, toys, etc....and I don't know the gender yet! lolol

Haha Georgina, you're cracking me up! I'm not talented enough to knit....oh wait, my Aunt does! And my Mother -In -Law quilts, I could commission something! lol
Names....oodles of names but haven't settled on one yet. Really like Liam, but I'm afraid my husband will suspect it's bc of Liam Neeson! hee-hee So I'd better stear clear of that one!

I had both, male and female, in my long life, but I wouldn't be able to advise you on the matter as for me a dog is a dog, a wonderful little fur kid to love, no matter their sex or gender as they say now. I would totally agree with Joanne, have a pup, be it a male of female, and you will be showered by love, and sharing wonderful moments that only a fur kid can give you. :-)

Kimberley, never worry about bugging a breeder. I for one love it when over excited potential owners keep ringing me. Firstly, it makes me grin as I am well aware of not only the love that puppy will bring to them but also the moments of naughtiness and maybe a little destruction :-) as all puppies at some stage do cause. But most importantly a good rapport is being built and a breeder gets comfort from the fact of knowing that the puppy that they have worked hard to rear will be going to a loving and motivated owner. SO GET ON THAT PHONE. XXX

Thank you Joanne! I couldn't resist and did put in a call yesterday. Ms Jesson kindly phoned me back last night. She assured me that I wasn't pestering her :) but that Irish Beauty was big as a horse but hadn't delivered as of yet. She said she had even gotten a little anxious and conferred with her vet, who reminded her the "apple will drop when ripe"! lol Yesterday was actually the due date for the second breeding and she's doing well and has actually peeked in on her "sister's " pups that were welped a week ago and are thriving! So the pup I get may already be in the whelping box : )
So yes, Ms Jesson has kindly answered all of my questions and indulged my excitement : ). Thank you for alleviating my fears Joanne, I certainly appreciate it. I was just afraid she might have a dozen people blowing up her phone with "puppy chatter" lol

We have always had girls, my father to would never have a boy didn't like the boys cocking their leg at his plants in the garden. From our Bronte's litter we were only going to keep one a girl, I couldn't face the thought of having to sell my gorgeous boy so decided to keep him to.

Why oh why haven't I had a boy before now, they are so much more laid back he does as his told well most of the time,he is so adorable likes to have a cuddle too. I would certainly have a boy again.

Thank you Pippa, that's what I thought I'd heard from others, that bitches can be a bit independent and strong willed. I've lived with two females for nine years, thought a change might be interesting! My mom says she'll never own a male again (for the same reason as your father!) ; )
