James is now taking part in the Expositions Dog Sows with is Breeder, because Pedro thinks that James is a wonderful ambassador of the race and of his breeder. I don't understand anything about expositions and I'm an awful handler, not attracted in Dog Shows, but of courses they are the only mean to find goods dog race and were we can see so wonderful dogs.Good luck at all the shows with your beauty!
Cheers,
Rui

Hello Rui!
Thank you for your kind words regarding my dogs and photographs! As you can see...not a single show-picture among them. Im not so much (in fact not at all) a show-person. I have seen that you have done very well with James!
I suppose we shall see quite a few more blog-posts with James Martin winning!
I look forward to that...:-)

Glad to hear you are a bad handler when it comes to shows! That makes two of us:-)
I much prefer to work with my dogs.
There are not that many setters doing obedience in Sweden either! Certainly not many that compete in it! Its mainly Border Collies that win...well sometimes me as well :-)
But I am cutting back a lot on my competing.
I had a friend living in Portugal for many years.
Great country!
And I just love those fried sardines!!!!!!!

Hi there Rui, please just call me Dee, I did one of the drawings and my Daughter did the other, I am at the moment getting myself together to do another one, I have always drawn and painted animals, I wish I could do people and landscapes, but, I love the animals so that is what I do, you must let me see your drawings when you do them!!! good luck, and speak soon, Dee and the girls

I think the last time I was in Portugal was about 12 years ago. But that was in the southern part, close to spain.
Watch out! I may take you up om your offer! :-)

Hi Rui,
thanks for your comment on Glen's hunting - as you say the gratest joy is watching the dog running and searching and finally coming on point - his whole body enraptured by he scent. And for him and me it ends there, I am no hunter myself.
Enjoy your dogs and all the best for 2009!
Susan

Hi there Rui
I hope that you aren't going to retire James so young, Jas got her title last year at the tender age of 7, she is now coming up to 8 in a couple of weeks. She is still winning well, so he is still so very young.. Saffy is only 3.5 years at the moment and she will I hope have puppies this spring/summer. We are going to use one of the Dogs on this site, but distance is going to be a problem, so will have to keep fingers crossed that they get together without any problems. Thank you for the comment on the pictures I really must put some more on the site but keep forgetting how. And thanks too for the comment on myself, I look after my grandchildren during the week and they bring home all sought of problems, and I am getting them all..Oh well what is it they say...''what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'' I am getting stronger by the day
Thank you for all your comments

Thankyou James - Happy Easter to you and yours also.
Sunny and warm still, for the start of Autumn. Desperately waiting for the rain to start.
Cheers,
