Thank you for your reply, about your lovely dogs, and not trimming ears.
Here in GB we do trim them for the shows, but I must admit to leaving most of my dogs ears long, but the ends are trimmed.
It is not in the breed standard with regards to trimming ears. I think it its a matter of choice, and as you work your dogs there is not point.
I think you have some super stock too.
Suzanne.

Thor,
the pedigree of my puppies and dogs goes back to my original first R/W in 1987, called Sh. Ch. Spearpoint Sambooka Flambe. You can see him on my site.
My present stock all go back to him one way or another.
Our new puppies are from a bitch we brought in called Laoirebay All That Jazz Among Spyefire,/ Sire our Spyefire Priceless, who is a Flambe grandson, from Sh. Ch. Cormallen Strike A Light With Spyefire/ Jazz Sire is Sh. Ch Tullamore Ted. Who is a Dalriach Archoneadon son. from working stock. We are so pleased with our pups. Suzanne.

Thor,
Like you say, any R/W could work, as they have that natural instinct. My dogs often display that when they are out on exercise.
In my bitch's pedigree she goes back to Dalriach Auchindoun, Kesterel of Cherryfield, Bawnrhua Smart Fella (Ft. Ch.) so she does have some working stock in her lines.
They have tied up so well with my dog, on the Laoirebay side.
Our pups are very alike and very of good type, we had planned this litter for a long time now.
They grow so quickly now at four weeks old..;
Suzanne.

What lines do you have in your dogs pedigrees?

Thor,
very interesting pedigree obviously from many working lines I am not familier with.
But I love the look of your R/W's. Do your dogs live in the house or in kennels?
Do you own horses too?
I used to own them many years ago, but only dogs now.
Suzanne.

Hi Thor. The little girl in the photos is my grand-daughter Eva. She is an absolute delight and tries to play with Derry but as yet they don't quite understand each other. My husband John is on Facebook so I shall get him to email you with details. If I may I can send your email address to John's uncle in the U.K. as he has been doing research into the English Papes

Hi Thor, I will look at your Facebook page but how ironinic our son Adrian is a professional photographer here in Perth. He is a commercial photographer not journalistic. We don't have horses but our daughter-in-law is a keen horsewoman.

Hi Thor

We are travelling to Norway or Sweden in February to train the dogs on snow. Do you have any recommendations were we can train in Norway.

Hi Thor

We are planning to take the dogs over on the ferry and train them on snow for a few weeks. We were looking into the Hamar as it has alot of trails we can use. I just can't seem to find anymore info on it and finding the language barrier a problem.
