i am confused. I was not sure what Brittany was. Google the name and they say type of gundog like a spaniel. So you had your Dad's dog also and after your last setter died also did your Dad's dog. then you got Molly...

Molly looks so comfy on the lounge. Great story of your past and present dogs. We have a slow combustion heater wood... I guess Molly will be curling up near that this winter. most of last winter we were in Europe. We left in July and returned mid August. When to Norway say no more beautiful but super expensive. Will not be travelling like that again for awhile.

that is a great story. They do grieve and some quite alot. My mum was living here for about 12 months before she died. Her cat grieved when she went and then unfortunately she was taken by a tick. We got her while she was still alive and husband got it out but she died at the vets through the night. She was never the same cat after my mother went.

we have been to Europe three times and now must stay home. In Australia it is quite expensive to travel within. Going to see my family in Alice can cost quite alot as we do not stay with them. No room, too many kids.  It would be beautiful onyour lake. A work collegue went to the US last year to see his son but not sure whether it he went. He bought me back some soap. Has written on it Cape Shore Loon Lake..

so I guess my soap is not near where you go for your holidays. Having your daughter in college would be costing. Is college like Universary? When we went to Europe last year we had only had Molly a few months. I left her at the kennels for a long weekend first and over 6 weeks while we were away. They sent me pictures and she did training school for 18 days during her time there. I had my laptop so I kept up with reports as to how she was going.

where we live we have ticks 365 days per year. Even in winter. I spend a fortune on frontline for Molly every 2 weeks in summer and every 4 weeks in winter. Our first IS had 2 cases and i think that was what killed her in the end. The treatment is costly and horrible for the animal. She was at the vet for 1 week. Strangly enough where we are it is bad and further down the coast not so bad. We live on Sydney's northern beaches. Have you heard of the TV show home and away... that is where we live... big whoopee

Hi Sherry... Hope you are not working too hard. Molly was o.k. last night while we were out but did have an accident later on during the night after we arrived home. Not her fault. Very excited to see us but nearly midnight when we arrived home.

still warm but not hot. Raining which hopefully will not last. Molly went outside when we got home but I think that happened through the night. Glad you are starting to thaw out. Nearly autumn for us and Spring for you. Molly alseep outside now Monday morning here. Hopefully you will not have too much work... Talk later

Molly more active today but birds 'who cares' says Molly. she would rather play with her toys and sleep. The cat however jumped into the tree to catch one this morning. So funny to watch, he missed.

the cat missed today but other times he has not. Neil (husband) took today off work and molly really has enjoyed him being home. Our first IS was like your Molly she would chase the birds all the time and bark. Molly went to training yesterday after a few months break. She needs to focus again but did o.k. Sleeping on the lounge now. You have a nice Valentine's Day also. The lady who owns Molly's sister and father sent me some nice pictures via email yesterday. They live in QLD.

we don't have squirrels or rabbits. When we were in london last year we saw squirrels in the park. They crawled up our legs. Molly just has obedience at the moment but out of all the IS we have owned I think she is the most suited to it. Your Molly must be a great IS as is our Molly. Maybe it is the name??

Obedience is at varying times but we go Sunday mornings which can be a pain sometimes. I just watch as she seems to be better with husband. It is just a group that formed locally many years ago. Join for the year and $3 each time you attend. Sessions go for 1 hour

africian minors are birds that are aggressive to other birds and even chase our cats. I think the squirrels in London would have been fed in the park by people. It was quite an experience for us. You have very different things in your backyard. I find it interesting learning about what other people have and do in the world. I love the culture of other countrys but America I think is very much like here. i don't know but anyway I enjoy my chats with you.

Its Tuesday morning here. Molly is on the bed sitting just about on top of me as i write this. It is funny because the sparrows here have just about gone due to these Africian Minors. In country areas there are more birds. Molly doesn't seem to care about them. We have Kookaburras (they can eat snakes). Bush Turkey in the garden at the moment who is a pain because we get heaps of leaves from the gum trees and it makes a mess with them. I love the photos of your Molly on the lounge.. she looks so content.

Starting to notice in the mornings it is darker for longer the days must be getting shorter. We have daylight saving until April. Yes I think we pretty much look after our IS the same. They are a wonderful breed of dog. I have to make a decision about getting Molly desexed or not. She was in season last November hope not again for awhile. I am going to a conference next Friday and will need to be in the city by 8.30am. That will mean leaving home around 6.30am and not back until around 6pm. I will try and sort out something for Molly as it is too long to leave her on her own. Our vet does doggie day care but not overnight. Anyway I will get my thinking cap on today. When I had the other IS I used to leave them all day in the yard. I wonder why I have so much trouble leaving her. Did you take your Molly to brunch the other day?

I found somewhere for Molly to stay 1 night next week when I am away. Not my usual vet but I know them. She should be o.k. They are like kids having babysitters and $29 for the night not bad.

We live quite a reasonable distance from Sydney's CBD. I will need to leave very early so it is only one night. She has not been there before. We are much the same as you, plenty of groomers to come to the home or at the vets where I go also at the kennels. I think that is the business to be in. House visits pets, mail etc when you are away. I am happy with the kennel Molly usually goes to but it means 2 hours in the van 1 way and not worth it for only 1 night. She would get there and more or less back again. No I don't take toys or blanket as they could get lost and no responsibility taken. There is one kennel up the coast that charges $2 to give the animal medication and if you take your own food a storage fee and no reduction in the daily cost. What a rip off. I am going to a conference in the city only 1 day.
