The border collies are belonging to my friend Jenny(she breeds, shows and competes in working trials,obedience and agility with them, also with the shepherd) That shepherd in the group shot is Luka's mother!! I will probably try obedience and agility with Luka!! Jenny is my agility instructor with Megan, as well as friend!

I am a 60 year old from Wausau, Wi..work at Univ of Wi as Bookstore Manager...have had Irish Setters since 1975. Currently have two ...they active in Rally.
What became of the dog trained for the army? Were you allowed to supervise the training techniques used after the dog was turned over to the army?

Thank you for your comment, but the flowers, who are suppose to be in those pots, have Moon en Nylah allready destroyed. So for now the pots stay empty.

Nej, jag fick stamtavlan senare, och den var inte tångmärkt då. Veterinären har tångmärkt den med samma nummer som i örat, (jag gjorde det vid 12-veckorsvaccineringen), men det blir ju fel födelseår om de ändrar på SKK.Hon är född 2002=P och N står väl för 2001 tror jag. Alla i kullen hann inte bli felmärkt, men några blev det innan misstaget uppdagades. Jag har inte tänkt så mycket på det här förrän nu då diskussionen kom upp. Jag ska ta och höra mej för på SKK.

True, I noticed this when I was training my dogs for field work, the instinck is there but it takes a bit of work to bring it out. The last dog that I worked showed little to no intrest untill the first flew up under his nose, then, frome there on he was a great bird dog and I put two huntint titles on him an well as his AKC CH and Canacian CH title on him. He was a great Setter.

Hi Ursula, actuly I started working with dog back in the mid 30's when my father was working with Springer Spaniels. Today, I'm qualified to judge both the AKC and UKC conformation and the AKC hunt test for setters and pointing dogs. I'm not a active as I was ten years ago as I've had a few physical problems and limited to what I can do. However, I do keep myself busy keeping up with my intrest of behavior in dogs and schooling in the French language.

if you have hundred thousands of photos on your PC, then it takes time to find them :) even if arranged in folders by date... please be patient :)
