If this had been a field trial-situation (the vid is showing training on pigeons) they would have been eliminated. No chasing allowed! This is the maybe biggest challenge in training birddogs in Norway. Especially since there is a risk of getting a "slow flusher" if you train too hard; in Norway you need to show flush to get a 1st.

It's a fine balance.

Shame about the Gordon Setter first missing game and then crashing the point of the Red & White and causing a flush and chase. From my small experience of Field Trials in the UK any one of these three would have eliminated the Gordons but all three would have required a reprimand from the Judges. Is this the same in Norawy.

Comment by Merete & Thomas on May 11, 2009 at 1:13pm: It's in the middle of Norway, 1000 meters above sea level, it's where all the Derby's and National FT Championshops are held every year. Endless of flat terrain with lot's of grouse (and some moscus)
