Consequently the grass and weeds are out of control. This short video of Misty was taken in our now weed over-grown courtyard showing her natural bird instincts. She was trying to catch our beloved Sam who is a White Faced Heron, a truly beautiful wild bird. Sam is so fast, he was gone before Misty even started to run. Sam rested either in our courtyard or on our verandah every day for about a year healing from his injuries. He knew he was safe here with me and my English Setters, Hobson, Rose and Hammer and my horses, Hallmark and Charlamayne. I used to sit with Sam as often as I could. Sam can walk normally now. His white faced heron mate has visited me and has thanked me for helping Sam.
