Thanks to all replies thus far. I laughed at Ossian's comments! Now he barks as soon as I enter the park where I've always walked. It stems from aggressive lunging from another dog and it's as if he anticipates it every time. Maybe I should try a different route or park.<br />

<p>It would be my guess that until now he has encountered some dogs who have treated him like a puppy and now he is becoming mature himself he doesnt knw how to speak to other dogs. YOU need help as much as him and he needs to be carefully socialised now with the right dogs and in the right environment to put him on track…</p>

Hi, my first instinct would be to say get him checked out at the vets as for it to happen so quickly it sounds like something medical causing the behaviour possibly.<br />
