    Hi
It's quite a long ago yes indeed! But pleased to meet you here! I'm doing great, watching what happens to my Friends-litter in show rings - their dam Frinan Pricilla is by my Dino, F. Heartbreaker. They have started very well so the memory of "my heartbreaker" is living strog!

    Hi Alenka,
When I went to get the Ch. certificate (after standing in line from midnight to 2am at the show) =o) they told me that all VII group dogs still have to have the field requirement... I would definitely like to check on that, though. Hopefully, they weren't looking just to thin the waiting line ;o)
It is a nice thing to have anyway.. :) especially if wanting to exhibit in the surrounding countries with field req.

At the moment I am training my youngest setter, so the possible border collie is pretty far off. But looking at the absolute top dogs internationally, they are unfortunatly all bordercollies. And I feel that after constant training and competing with setters for 15 years it would be great to skip the challange and go for an easy ride...:-)
You know, if you cant beat them, join them! And the way the FCI rules are written and judged, no Irish setter will ever make the true top. The Obedience champions I already have...its the bit beyond that that I now want to have a crack at. But I do think that both you and Susan are correct in "other breeds being boring after a setter"! And with a bordercollie, there is the massive drawback of haven taken the easy way out! Could I live with that? Possibly...
Thank you so much for your input Alenka!
