Profile Information:

How many Irish Setters do you have?
Two (plus and English Pointer)
How long have you owned Irish Setters?
5 years (I've had working gundogs for 20 years, including Britts and Spaniels)
About Me:
My passion is working gundogs. I enjoy everything from quail hunting with my Pointers and Setters to rabbit hunting over Spaniels. When living in the USA I trained and tested with NAVHDA and liked that organisation a lot.

I'm an Aussie and very fortunate to enjoy some of the best quail county in the world. In a poor season we find hundreds of birds, in a good season thousands.

    Hi Rob,
Welcome.I don't know where Back Paddock is. I live in Qld. I have an Irish bitch that has an Irish Field Trial Champion about 3 generations back and she is very strong with hunting instincts. If she doesn't get enough work, running etc she goes a bit nutty. She is my favourite dog and I wish I had the experience or knowledge to have trained her when she was young. She still passes this type of personality onto her pups. Who knows maybe I can train one of them. My husband used to trial Labs and if he had the time would have trained Sophy.
Nice to see someone still giving these wonderful dogs the opportunity to do what they were bred to do and what they love.
