About Me:
Rui de Carvalho: I have a beauty irish setter male from Porto Rio - Portugal, of Pedro Completo Breeder. He’s CH of Portugal, Spain and Gibraltar. I couldn´t wait to own one. We received him into our home in a very cold December night, in the Christmas holidays. He’s one of my life Dream’s Setters. I still can’t believe my lucky having so wonderful setter. Since then we are together all the time.

    Thanks for making me your friend. I am glad you like my Irish Setter, at the moment I have only one girl from the UK, all the photos you can see in my photoalbum on this site is taken of her. About the end of this year I am planning a litter from my Sarah and a great English male, and I would like to keep a puppy girl from that litter, so hopefully I will have 2 Irish Setters at the beginning of next year :-))

    I have some friends in Portugal, anyway :-)) They are Joao & Rute Soares / Casa De Juno - Weimaraner Kennel, maybe you know them. On one of your photos I saw Joao with a weim placed as 2nd in Group after you.
    A friend of mine here in Hungary has 2 weims from their kennel, if we go for a visit to them sometime, we can meet personally, who knows? :-))

    Hello Rui! Your dog James Martin is gorgeous and you must be so proud of him being a Champion! I see that he has an english pedigree.
    Thank you for your kind comments on my dogs. Irish Setters are my love too! I have bred the 2 youngsters ( Anacardium Elixir and Anacardium Exuberance) using the Brackenfield lines. You will see from the photos that these produces classical heads with strong conformation and a flat coat.I wait to hear more from you. I don't speak portuguese only a bit of spanish or french of course.

    HI James, thanks so much for your comments. Kargray Charity was a beautiful girl - born in 1970. She was my foundation bitch, though bought as a pet. Some of her descendants are in the show ring today. You have some beautiful dogs, from excellent bloodlines.     We used once her beatuyful boy Sametsuz Sunset as stud dog.
    Since then we sometimes have a phone call and talk about the beautyful breed of Irish Setters!

    we are all right, Sarah is stunning as always, and has got a nice show result from the past weekend, and I will post a blog about it, but at the moment I am still waiting for pics from the show.
    My weimaraner friends' bitch will be mated to a male from Portugal in October. But probably they will use some frozen semen, and will not drive that long way to Portugal. But we can meet if you come to some shows in East Europe. Are you going to Budapest in October to the Euro Dog Show?? Would be nice to see you there :-)
