I am so sorry about the loss of your boy...he seemed to be such a character...our dogs are with us such a short time but then we would not be without them...Cherish the memories ! Kindest regards

Hi there keep in touch Saffy Jas and I are off to bed now, Saffy always slept on her own but I can't leave her on her own, so my bed is getting smaller, its lucky I don't have a partner!!!!!!! No room............Dee and the girls

Saffy is coming on, she tried to be her usual self, leaping about like and idiot this morning, she yelped and stopped. I think that she will learn not jump about because it hurts. I must say that she is enjoying sleeping on the bed, BUT she is one of those who stretches out crossways so I am up and down all night putting her on ''her own side'' I don't think she even wakes up.........Thanks for everyone thinking of us it is so comforting, for me. I just wish I was able to get to the bottom of whatever it was that happened, but I don't think I will, the vets have said it was 2 things now, and I know it was nether of them, but she is still hear despite their efforts...

Thankyou Reni. Skye was my first Irish Setter and as you can see, was a lovely, very happy girl. She was so funny, was always making us laugh. Loved life to the fullest. She was just over 5 when she left us. Far too young. I still get very teary when I think of her. Skye and Gordon will be friends, I'm sure.

Thanks so much, it has been difficult to keep focused over the past week but I am hoping that she is now getting over it, whatever it was I don't think that we will never get to the bottom of it. The vets are adamant that it was bloat but they were equally adamant that it was Piametra.....a change of tablets and all seems to be settling down in her gut perhaps that is all she needed after all...not a major operation !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dee and the girls

Thanks for the 'ask' If I tell you that she is back to driving me mad again, tarring around the house like a puppy again.....Yes she is back to her old self, you wouldn't know that there had been anything wrong with her, you can't even see the scar, we are just about to go out for a walk, trying to get her back to being fit again....she is lying on her back with all the legs in the air, (assuming the setter position) Thank you so much for asking after her. I was quite worried about Saffy last night, yesterday was the 1st time that I had let her run, since her operation, and she came home and was sick, I panicked...but poor Busby Nicole's Gordon was sick as well and we were walking with him yesterday, so sad for Busby but it made me feel better because it wasn't just Saffy, she is now OK but Busby is still feeling bad, I hope he feels better soon.
As I said if my friend and her Kennel maid don't work out I will think of you and let her know that you are wanting to work with dogs...It is hard work in a kennel but it is rewording to see happy and contented dogs under your care

Tess thanks you very much Reni for her beautiful picture. That is really sweet of you. She had a good day, but Megg did try to steal her new birthday pup more than once. They even had a 'tug of war' with it (lol). Lucky it's tough and survived.
