About Me:: WW'03 EUVW'08 Ch C.I.E. Berboss Instant Coffee (1996-2010) - for me just Odin - was my first setter, she left me 2nd January 2010 after 13 years of friendship. Odin was my all and everything, my best friend in good and bad times. She taught me so much about canine intelligence and behaviour, about love and loyalty. She was purchased for being a normal dog but very soon I got bitten by the show bug. She was a real show girl and compensated my faults in the show ring :) It was her soft character and look-at-me attitude that charmed all people meeting her, friends, strangers and even judges. Thank you Odin for sharing your life with me!

After much thinking I decided to get another girl and doing some research, I ended up in Sweden. This is how Danka - MultiCh C.I.E. C.I.B. Copper's Music 'N' Paws' - came to live with us in 2005. And yes, she taught me new things about canine behaviour :) Through her I was able to get to know the naughty and the run-run-run side of the Irish Setter. She is referred to as 'crazy Danka' by the setter club, hm, does it say it all? So different from Odin, but oh so lovable as well. A real clown, adoring kids, loving dog shows and having so much fun in the fields. Having 13 champion titles and being the first setter to qualify in the field on a Hungarian field trial and gaining CIB by this. Very intelligent, observant and empathetic. Thanks Danka for being with me, love you girl!

And then Neita - Full CH Copper's Wine 'N' Roses HJCH RJCH - arrived. Still cannot decide if she has more angel or devil inside her. She is the sweetest, wants to be close to you all the time, would love to crawl under your skin if that would be possible. Everyone is in love with her because of her beauty and character - bet if I would give her away, people would want to give her back the day after :) She is the destroyer in the house, eats sofas and doors but when she looks at you with those eyes, you just can't be angry on her (for a longer time that is...). She is a big actress as well, pretending to be a real blond - was hard to realize that actually she has brains and a lot! Unbeaten in baby-puppy-junior classes, we look forward to challenges in adult classes. Neita is a talent in the fields as well, already managed to get a CQN just one year old. She backs from the first second on and does not point but sets like a real setter :-)

Pawsword Northern Song, little Zilou - the one I know from the first second on, being Danka's daughter. The one that unites all the positive virtues of Irish Setters without having a bad detail. She has only been shown in baby and puppy class because of big sister Neita. Zilou is getting better with every day and seems to develop into a copy-paste of Danka. The best character ever, the best working abilities. The girl that makes me smile with every move she makes. Love you so much, little girl!

Oh, I would love to show you the ornament but it is packed away w/Christmas stuff...so very carefully...it is all organic (nutshells & some kind of white fuzzy grass) a little lady holding a staff...reminds me of Little Bo-Peep (if you are familiar with that nursery rhyme)! It's so great, got it on the Buda-side of the D. River

:-) Ja das kann ich mir gut vorstellen. Wir haben nur 2 Wanderungen pro Jahr vom Setterclub aus. DIe nächste organisiere ich im Juni. 2 Tage Engadin. Es haben sich schon sehr viele angemeldet. Ich hoffe der Schnee ist bis dahin weg.

I'm impressed. On my site there is a photo of 4 setters, it was very hard to take it. We have also the fifth setter buy he didn't want sit aside others at all. We tried a lot - without any success.
So your photo and your dogs - great job.
And besides fine walk in such a large company :))))

Thankyou Odin & Danka & Laura for my birthday wishes.
It means a lot to me. I just opened my present and it was a squeaky rubber chook!!!!!. Don't they know I only like 'fluffy's'. Oh well, it's o.k. A bit silly looking, after all, I'm 7 now. It might grow on me. Maybe tomorrow, it will look better. Tess thinks it's nice and my cousin, Mary, the greyhound LOVES my new chook. She kept stealing it from me and running away and squeaking it. I'll try and pretend I like it. I guess Mum & Tess thought they'd get me something different, and not a fluffy toy this year. Anyway, I've had a good day with lots of cuddles & love, and Mary's been over for the day, so I'm very happy.

Hi Laura, Had to go back through some posts to remember which pic. of the Irish & English Mum. I have actually got that photo saved on my computer. Just wonderful. Thankyou for posting it. Your Odin is a very special girl. I can just see her doing that.

Yes, you can see the disappointment on Meggs face when she first laid eyes on her birthday chook. She has ignored it ever since. Wong even look at it.!!!!!! Oh well, this morning we took both girls for a big free run and they are happy girls. Have to do something to get back in her good books.

Will put another blog on in the not too distant future!
Weather has cooled down a lot, still some warm days, but the evenings are cooler, and you can feel the season is changing.
Lupin is coping with everything pretty well, and is very happy. Just loves everybody, and I have detected the "Nomie Hug" as we call it! You haven't been hugged until Nome has hugged you!!
They send smiles all round to Danka and Odin.
When will you visit us????

OK I have worked out this Chat Button(or rather my daughter has!) The settings of my monitor are wrong and as a result the close buttons were hidden! Anyway if you click on one person you will see you can have private chat too!

ja ja , es ist noch tiiiiefer Winter bei uns. Der Schnee kommt im November und bleibt bis April. Aber im März bekommen auch wir das "Fernweh" und müssen im Flachland etwas Frühlingsluft und vor allem die schönen Farben geniessen.

You are so kind! I will need an awful lot of luck.....anyway Pete has had his bath and is dry now, will do a special finishing brush tonight and then I have to get up at 4 am tomorrow! Getting a bit worried at the moment as there are warning Not to talk to journalists as they will distort our words and also some animal activists might decide to let all dogs loose in the show .....so Not to leave the dogs alone at all!!!!

Thanks for noticing that my beautiful Jas got second in a really nice class of lovely old ladies, I was really proud to have got such a place, a first for Jas....she has a couple of 3rds but that was her best at Crufts yet, perhaps a 1st next year.....

Oh you would not have wanted to 'stand on the carpet' after Saffy had been there, she had a poo on it.....She won't go on those dreadful sawdust places that they provide and I couldn't get out before she went in the ring, that has never happened to me before in my whole showing time. Soooooo embarrassing......;o((
But no she didn't get anywhere I didn't expect her to, she is definitely not her type. But thanks for asking...
Perhaps another year..the world is getting smaller,,,;o))
