I have 2 Setter Girls, one English & one Irish. They are both aged 6yrs. I am married with 3 children, grown up now. I am Australian and live in Melbourne. I have loved Irish & English Setters for more than 20 years and now have one of each which are both an absolute joy to own. We got them both as baby puppies together. They are best friends and are always looking out for each other. We belong to a local obedience club where the girls have done well. Tess, my Irish, continues to go to school each Sunday.
Hi Lynn

Hello Lynn and your hairy group:O)
I´ve heard news-horrible weather in Australia. Hope you are OK.
Lots of love
Reni+AG
PS Thank you for your letter. I will reply...
Thank you Lynn--your beautiful English setter has the most soulful eyes. I just noticed you are in Victoria--I hope you and your dogs are keeping safe. It is so hard to comprehend the extent of the suffering and loss.I hope the Royal Commission finds some answers.

PS YOu are right with Cairo ,you have very good memory:D
Hi Lynn,
I read that you said you were close to the fires but still OK. I hope you and your family and your two girls are alright. We're all thinking of you over here and hopefully the fires will stop soon. It is such sad news.
Lots of love,
Nicole
Hi and thankyou for your nice comments...Yours certainly looks like a very happy family!! I am looking forward to my new puppy in the spring..and trying to think of a name!! Best wishes, Sammi...p.s. So sorry to hear about the awful fires...thinking of all affected...keep safe.
Thoughts and prayers are with you all that God will keep you safe. In times of absolute tragedy it is only all our combined prayers that can make a difference.
You are in my heart Love Di & the girls
Thank you Lynn.
It would be nice to have GS, ES and IS together :O)
Cairo is a big silky baby.
Gordon and Cairo have the same problem-heavy eyelid. Is it normal at ES?
I am very happy you are all well.
Many greetings to you all, especially Jo.

Hi! That sure was a speedy response!!
I will at some stage, get some photos of 'my boys' on the system...
I have a four and half year old Irish and an English Springer Spaniel who will be three next month.
I am currently awaiting the new arrival of Ramsay who will be joining us on Thursday next week.. he will be... 7.5 weeks old!! very exciting.... although, will have to get used to a little red nut case running around again.... will be fun...
Hello Lynn and company!
Cairo is at home. He was really lovely boy. I loved cuddling with him and walks in the forest. I had a great time last week.
Thank you for your comments.
Take care,
Reni
hi Lynn, just seen your comment on "my" photo of the irish+english setter with the irish pups. my odin did this with a dog friend (an irish as well), she began to produce milk (she was just after her season) and the two ladies were lying together with all the pups. i can tell you, it was very very touching.
love to you all, Laura & the girls
Hi Lynn!
Thanks for comment on blogpost..
I saw that Megg had Birthday celebrations yesterday too....
Give her a big hug from us all.
Today it´s not too much noice in our house.....
Hi Lynn
perhaps you must Megg show this photo. Glenn loves his toy. He became it last year from my mother :-) We was in holiday in Toscana, Italy.
Kind regards
Esther and Glenn
Hi thank you, yes she is awsome i love her a lot, but i cant compete with her because she have overshot , it was big dissapointment for me, i was so sad because she is very beautiful and she could be very good at the shows, but it doesnt matter im hunting with her and she has a big potention to hunt:) sorry for my english :D
Thank you for your kind comment on my photo. Your photos of Tess and Meg are great, they both look like lovely dogs, who love life! They seem to be happy happy dogs, and that what counts! Take care x
hi Lynn, just wanted to say hi! we had fabulous today, sun shining and about 12 degrees, just perfect for a long walk in the fields. my home PC broke down, and my laptop is work-related only, not allowed to have anything personal on it (like a photo editor), so not sure when i can share the pics with you here. have a nice weekend!
laura and the girls
hello, i think i read it somewhere, maybe Reni's page, that you are off for some days. hope you had a nice time! i am sure the girls were very happy to have you back. tell Megg that she has to wait only 1 year and she gets her long awaited new fluffy toy ;-)
Hi Lynn,
Thank you for you nice comment on my photo :-) How are you and your two girls? Spring is in the air over here and I guess it's the beginning of cooler autumn for you... :-)
All the best,
Nicole & Busby
Hi Lynn, thanks for your kind comment on 'Joy' - she looks great on the photo, but she really is a little devil! But then, she would not be a normal setter otherwise, would she? ;-))
all the best to you and your girls
Susan
Thanks for your comments about Oliver, he was a darling, so well behaved and quiet, not a typical setter! When I got Flynn I wondered what had hit me!!! I adored Oliver and was devastated when I lost him so suddenly, but I was thrilled when by sheer chance after I had bought Flynn, I discovered that he was related to Oliver through Twoacres Francesca, so I felt that I still had a little piece of him with me. Funnily enough he had also been sired by a Twoacres dog and I discovered that Oliver was from Twoacres Nautilus's very first litter.
The photos of your dogs are wonderful, they are gorgeous and I especially like the Christmas photos, the expressions on their faces say it all.
Best wishes,
Michelle
hi Lynn, thanks for your comments. Danka is a great hunter and a lovely showgirl - but first of all my sweet little girl. love her so much. Odin was with us on the field trial as well but she had to stay in the car most of the time as she is in season. but she was much happier that way, than staying home alone.
going to visit my parents over the weekend, then easter weekend clubshow, international show and a gundog show (3 days). don't really like so many but i go with friends, so for sure it will be a great weekend, whatever results we get.
Hi Lynn, thank you for inviting me as a friend; you are now my first friend from Australia.
I must say that Nick was very happy that day on snow, unfortunately I could not live him free for long, because there were skiers around, but when he has got the chance he was jumping and running like a crazy dog. He especially liked dip snow where he could barely move and than he look like a snow man.
There is no snow in Australia, but you have a lot of sun and the see. I like the sea and I have always lived near the sea, so I can watch it every day. My country has just 40 km of cost and the sea is not the cleanest one, but I must say that I could not be living without it.
How is life in Australia? I saw your irish-english setter girls and they are lovely. I can say that all the setters are almost alike, although they love to sleep in our beds and sofas. How are your girls like? Are they calm or very energetic like my Nick, especially in the evening after a long walk when I want to seat down and rest for a while? I can tell that your girls are very gentile and sweet.
About Mr. Cat he is no longer with us, one day he just did not come back home. He was a free spirit and the last time a saw him he was not feeling well and he did not live me to take care of him. I heard that cats, when are ill, jus go somewhere alone to die (that so sad).
Hi there Lynn
Thanks for the comment on Saffy, I have to keep taking a couple of inches of the bottom of those ears every now and then, she is a real character though
All the best
Dee and the girls
Hi there Lynn
I too love the long ears, but they don't like them over here, so we just have to keep taking the bottom of the ears, but she is my brood bitch (I hope) so I am not worried about the ears, I still show her, with a wee bit of a long ear hair, and yes they do have such lovely character's, she just keeps me laughing so much, there are times though that I would love to just strangle her, she can be so exasperating. but I do love her.....
Speak soon Dee and the girls
hi Lynn, thanks for all those nice comments on my girls. We visited my parents during the weekend and went to our usual walks at the Danube (one of the biggest rivers of Hungary and also Europe). Unfortunately there were LOT of ticks now, NEVER experienced this before at that place, i collected more than 100 on the girls... now some days of praying that neither of them was infected.... but hey, i can't keep them in a vitrine, can I? lets hope for the best.
love from us, laura & the girls
Hi Lynn, nice to meet you. As you will have seen on my profile I am very much a beginer but getting there ,ha,ha. I am amased as to what is on this contraption, the info. is mind blowing. I have been all over the world and back. I'll tell you what it's a good job that there's the delete button on here ,and that I have a lot of tine to spare, ex worker.(retired).My son has been in Perth for the last 2 1/2yrs and this April his daughter went out to see him, his son goes next year. Well I think I had better close for now as I am getting writers cramp,ha,ha,ha.!!! I will pop in again PAT X
