Hi Kristina, thanks for your comment. Firstly, I am sorry you lost your girl. I am not sure of the Swedish translation, but it does sound very much the same thing. It is not the same as a heart attack, it is basically a weakness in the wall of the aorta, which the dog is born with, and can rupture at anytime.
Did you have a post mortem done at the time and do you mind if I ask what lines she came from?

Ray is my first Red & White Setter. I have had other Breeds in the past but didn't know what I was missing until I got my impish irish boy. Life is never dull with the Irish around.
I quite agree that Setters are really amazing dogs and exceptionally intelligent. It has been a challenge training Ray but very rewarding.
Your Reds look really happy dogs in the photos.

Hello Kristina,
I absolutely adore my animals too, and spend my life looking after them and loving them.
I assure you we thought very long and hard about bringing Lupin in this way, and Camilla knowing her so well and myself spending quality time with her in Sweden last year,knew that the trip would not bother her. She loves travelling and meeting people and that is what would be happening. If there had been a problem from stress, she really would have reabsorbed the puppies in the beginning.
Her care has been of the very best, with love from everyone who has met Lupin. The staff at quarantine wished all the dogs coming through would be Irish, because she had been so easy to love and look after, and I know the girls spent extra time with her because she was so special.
Her life with Camilla, with me, and even in quarantine, has been nothing but pure love, enjoyment and fun, and will continue that way for the very long rest of her days.
I hope if you ever come to Australia, you will visit us and see what a lovely life all of our dogs enjoy.

Thank you so much for your comments about Oliver, he was a real sweetheart and I adored him. When I got Flynn I took Oliver's photos to show June Coates (Twoacres) she found it hard to believe that I hadn't shown him as he was always trimmed as if he was a Crufts winner!!

He is such a confident, lovely dog and woud be "everybodys darling" :-) At the moment he is also very successful in Shows. (Next weekend we have International Dogshow in Switzerland ,St. Gallen. Carmen Lorenzi will to handle him, because I have a furthur training).

Hello Kristina Thank's ,,Digby's kennel name was Wynjil Gamesman ,,from Jill Holley I had the pick of dog's I don't think I did to bad in my choice ,,he was alway's a very free spirit & a very out going boy ,full of fun,,nothing worried him he was a joy to have,,sorry to say I lost him when he was young , ,he got a cooked chicken down from a working surface,, & during the night ,the schipperke woke me up crying I went down stairs to see what was wrong & found him very distresed & with his tummy all swollen up,, I got to the vet's as soon as I could ,,but it was to late to save him ,the vet said the tummy had turned black ,what had happened the chicken bone's had made a hole in his tummy,, you don't think you will lose them so young ,,he was only 5yr's old still a baby,,that was 5yr's ago,,, when I got the schipp. it was so Digby would not be by his self,, at that time I had a very poorley 9yr old boy,,& a 13yr old girl ,also setter's,, the boy was put to sleep 1 month & 1 day later,, I then got the girl schipp to keep the boy schipp company ,,the old girl was put to sleep in my arm's 18month's later,,, isnt life strange ,, I have now decided that the schipp's will be my last dog's,,as time goe's on you reach an age that you dont want to leave your dog's with anyone else,, so sad that's how I feel ,,I will close this for now take care PAT x

Hi Kristina ,, the schipperke's are a wonderful little dog ,,they think they are 10 foot tall ,,are very inderpendent ,,willful,, stuborn,, & very deaf when they want to be I was showing Digger my first male dog when I,first saw them & they stayed in my mind,,& I didnt think I would ever get one but that's life look at me now !!! with 2,,thank you for your kind word's,but you must remember when you have had them 28yr's you have a lot of pain but also a great deal of fun ,pleasure from them but most of all their love & trust bye for now PAT x

Hi Kristina thank's for viewing Digby's photo ,,he is the young dog I lost with the chicken bone's, he was a nicely built boy ,with a good coat very out going with a truly loveable nature,,,the other photo's are of Gold Digger of Balintyne, he was born 1983 & died 1995,,,my "Digger" he was a truly handsome boy & so cheeky a true Irish lad,, the love of my life ,,I hope to put some more photo's with my other setter's from 1980's ,,take care PATx
