We are Irish Red Setters breeders in Belgium.
We try to breed Irish Setters which combine good qualities in shows and on Fields. It's not really easy but we persevere in this way.
We produce max. 1 litter per year.
Thank you so much for your best wishes they are greatly received, I will let everyone know just how many in a few days, I hope.
Thanks again Dee and the girls
Hi there Jean CONGRATULATIONS you have won!!!! you can come and pick up the bottle of the best Scottish water, and then you can pick up a bottle and feed a few puppies......I managed a football team + the cheer leaders. hope that you don't do the same with your future litter.. All the best speak soon Dee and the girls
Thank you for the comment on Ivy and her foal!
What made us so happy was the fact that at one stage, it looked as if she would not survive...and then being on top of the heap in spite of all the earlier problems.
Hi Jean,
thanks for your comment on C. Dancing Light. The two of them were watching he girl's father and I luckily had the camera out!
I enjoyed seeing your field training photos! Hope to hear of some nice results after the trial.
all the best
Susan
Hi there Jean The one alone in the corner is the second smallest girl, she is very pretty, but very fiery, has a mind of her own....bit like mum..
Thanks for the comment, when do you want your prize????
The only one to get it rite and nearly got the sexes correct as well. Congratulations!!!..;o))
Thanks so much Jean for the comments on the babies, the kissing one was so sweet just had to take that one. All for the family album...going to be a bore with all the ''baby'' pictures from now on..Hey why not they are so sweet.
Thanks again Dee and the gang
ps how do you want your prize???
Thanks for the best wishes and your kind words! They mean alot! I hope your are enjoying the summer. I can see you are; expecting puppies! Wish you and the bitch a "nice delivery". Greetings Jenny
Hi there,
Who did you put your wee girl to...Mr J??? If she is big now, Oh My Goodness, are you going to beet my girl...Oh I hope not for your sake, We have a saying around here, about the Fourth Bridge, (it is being painted forever) you start at one end and go to the other, by the time you get to the other end it is time to start again at the beginning. And that is what the feeding is like around here, and with two grandchildren under 4 to look after too , it seems like its time to go to bed just after I get up, well that is what it feels like. Perhaps 10, this would be a comfortable number, not 15 wouldn't wish that on anyone. but this is what we sign up for when we mate them...is it not????
Thank you for your comments on the wee boy we lost, so sad, and I don't think that I will ever know what happened...not even with the Post Mortem. Good luck with your girl, do let me know what happens, all the best I will be thinking of you.....Dee and the gang
Ah I think that you are very wise with your breeding plan, perhaps the new baby that Aleks and Willem have will be another good one for you, he will tie in nicely, and he too is growing into a nice looking boy, Aleks and Willem really do have an eye for a good dog. I just love all of them, Mr J reminds me of the second dog that I used, Scarletti Cockney Rebel, bread by Rita Pike back in the late 70's and early 80's he had the most wonderful head and his puppies were beautiful, and these puppies are the same wonderful heads all of them, just different sizes fantastic bone, but I am prejudices about these babies...
I have bottles coming out of my ears, feeding them about 4 times a day now, 58 feeds a day. Ah well it keeps me fit, fit for what I really don't know....
Will look forward to seeing your babies they are going to be fantastic..will go on your site and look at the ''kids''
Dee and the gang
Thanks you so much for my birthday wishes - Ive had a great day with family and have the most amazing chocolate birthday cake...I would share it with you all, if I could !! xx

Oh Jean you are so rite just about to do that, they are still small and not enough room for all of them..especially when someone probably one of the girls stands in it and goes round and round hovering up the food, no one else can get in.....
Dee and the gang
amicalement,
Susan
Hello Jean,
Thank you for your comment on my puppies.
Yes we didn't beat a record, again;)
Also hope this litter will be special:)
Kisses to Mcbirdy clan,
Marta
Hi there Noella
The wee boy that I lost was like that I had to feed all day and all night, but when I got up at 2 o'clock he had passed away, I really hope that yours will be fine I am sure if there are two of you feeding it will be better than just me, I am sure that I could have done more for him...but what a litter and born naturally you all must be so exhausted, good luck to you all I will keep everything crossed for you, its these lines they are obviously so fertile, I blame Aleks!!!! ha ha....I think that she must be feeding her boys something special,, to get such special babies from the ''boys'' we will have to meet some time.. good luck I will be thinking of you all Dee and the gang...lots of pictures please..
Hi there
We have a saying over hear...Go teach grandma to such eggs...this means that I cannot tell you how to deal with big litters, you have much more experience than me, I am a mere novice it this big litter thing, but someone told me not to use a bottle at the beginning, just a small syringe, this I found better than the bottles, then I went on to the baby bottles with a number two tit on the end, then there was no stopping them, but I also put a big box in the whelping box, and I am not taking them away from her, although because of the C Section she really wasn't that interested, for the first couple of days, after that well...couldn't prize her away from them. I am so glad to hear that the wee girl is better now, the girls are so easy to get new homes for, its always the boys that are difficult, its such a shame, that there is 6 months to wait, because I have had so many people that wanted both boys and girls, I could have sold mine 3-4 times over...I well still keep everything crossed for all of you, and congratulations again, please keep in touch.
Dee and the gang
I will try again later, but can't find them at the moment, am just going out to the Nursery to ''swap'' granddaughters. and then go to the library with the older one...really looking forward to seeing them all, how are you both holding up???? now that we are weaned here, life is so much easier, I can actually go out now....I see you have one of the rings hope that you have more of them...I will ship mine over to you if you haven't will have them back though for the next litter, probably only two in that one...All the best Dee and the gang
Oh yes, little monsters...but they did behave really well considering, that was the first time I had even tried, perhaps next time will be even worse, because they know what is expected of them...
I still haven't been able to find the pictures of your babies yet...how are they all doing??? All I can say is good luck when they get to about three weeks on...but you are experts at it. Me, I haven't had a large litter like that ever before. 10 was the largest. and that was a walk in the park compared with this lot...and I was nearly 30 years younger, that really makes a difference but hey its only for 8 weeks...Speak soon Dee and the gang
Hi there all
Yes it is the Blue boy, I think that he will be staying even if everyone chooses another one. he just has something about him, he caught my eye when he was first born, I just keep going to him, when I am standing among them, he is also the biggest, nearly 9lb now, they are putting on something like 4oz a day some even more, (greedy ones) well they are all greedy, have you got homes for all of your babies yet??? I was really lucky here, Irish Setters are like hens teeth here in Scotland and there are so many people that want one...for once in my life I was in the rite place at the rite time....really unusual for me...will try and see your babies...Dee and the gang
Hi there All
Just seen the new pictures of the babies...my how they are growing...They look splendid, congratulations on getting them ALL to this stage.
Mine mostly went to their new homes today and yesterday, very mixed emotions. Glad that they have got their new homes, but sorry that they have gone..(definitely not sorry for the work going) More pictures please...

bonjour
