Hello Im Steve, i know live back in the UK with my 2 Spanish born and bred Irish setters. Spirit and Dream(2).
They are uncle and Nephew and also my Dreams.
Im on my 6th Setter, my first i got at 22 when i lived in Stuttgart Germany. Ringo was my first Dream and he went thru quarenteen here in the UK and stayed with me for 16 long years.
Ive had an English and also a rescue Irish from the Setter rescue in Cheshire UK.
I work in youth offending and do alot of work with young people from deprived backgrounds, i use my Dogs to ''break the ice'' with my clients.
And it is interesting how most of these young people have never seen an Irish before.
Hi Alenka , Gene and everyone else one here that LOVE their Setters too.
Well most of you dont know me but, well, Im 100% comitted to my Dreams. Past and Present. Dream2 is now a whole year old and his Uncle Spirit will be 3 on the 7th of August, so i am making him chicken livers for his birthday treat (how sad is that).
Dream at the moment is bullying Spirit so me and my partner have to keep a close eye on it. Also Dream is chewing the irrigation rubber pipes in the Garde lol. Little bugger!!! any suggestions Guys??? HELP!!
Hi Steve
Lovely photos. Which part of Yorkshire did you move to? We live in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire but are actually thinking of moving to Spain!!

Hi Steve,
Rachel comes regularly to the UK to show her youngest Irish Setter bred By Frances McKimm also on this site, so you might be able to meet her again. She is still very much involved with the breed over here and judges them regularly.
Hi Steve,
good to see you on this site, hope you are still enjoying our English weather....I am from Scotland originally but there is less rain down south I think, which suits me. I love your poems, especially the bit about the 3 'c's...did you write it?
Rachel once stayed with my husband & I for the weekend when we lived near to Kelso, she was showing Chicago Bear "Joshua" @ Border Union champ show, she was great fun & Josh was so soft & friendly. Funny story there as Rachel was sleeping in the same room as Chris Schofield & Chris had to spend half the night sitting up reading magazines in another room because she couldn't sleep because of Rachel's snoring (or so she thought), in the morning it turned out that one of our elderly min wire-haired dachshunds had got under their bed & it was her (Muffy's) snoring that kept Chris awake!!! Good times.
Hi Steve! As far as I know Rachel and Tony dont have wolfhounds any more. They have the greyhounds, irish setter and weimeraner. I have two setters here at the moment(Cara and Abbey) and are very clever and active types who have Chicago Bear as great grand sire and so far they are fit and healthy!! Love the photo of setter on bike!!;o)
steve you are putting some fab pics of you and your dogs.love the one with him on back of your scooter and the one where hes swimming in the pool with you
Hi
Would love to meet up once the puppy has had her injections, where do you walk your dogs? I'm just 5 minutes away from the moors, a great walk, if setter walk that is!! Not going to Spain now, heard too many horror stories on the housing problems.
