About Me:
In my family we always had dogs (mainly german shepherd crosses). But I have never thought that I will be doing so many things with pedigree dogs. Everything began during holidays on lakes. I met Ruda - red irish girl - beautiful, friendly, polite, quiet and not barking at other dogs running along the fances what is typical for german shepherds and what I hate all my heart. I was delighted with Ruda's character.
A month later I had my own little irish girl - Bajka (On the Sunny Side of the Street z Arislandu). I admired her character even more. For me she still is a perfect setter. First of all beautiful, with so balanced character and an addition of so wonderful madness as only setters have:-)
Without any plans, slowly, life showed me next steps - first shows, field trials, dogotherapy, puppies (only once). That was the beginning of my kennel - Bajkowe Rudzielce (2000). I kept two Bajka's children: Kruszyna and Pielgrzym. Life with three setters is crazy but it is worth every effort.
I lost Pielgrzym in 2007 because of babeshia. Since autumn 2011 I have new little girl - Kasia of McBirdy;-). I thought I will be much longer with my three girls but soon enexpectedly I lost Kruszyna. And last spring I had to say goodbye my almost 15 yo Bajka.
So now I am again with one little red girl.

    I have had a few dogs in my time and they have 'gone' at different ages between 18 months and 151/2 years but they are all remembered with lots of love for what each of them has brought to my life. I miss them all. But truly believe that we will be together again, one day...;o))
    As for being fierce only one of my Akitas was like that, and that was the puppy bitch she was an absolute horror. Her sisters owner always said of 'Zen' that she never started anything but always finished it..so true of all of them, but they didn't like many other animals, although I have to say she loved my chickens they tasted wonderful to her, especially after the 'hunt' of catching them..All the best and if you see my wee boy Newton give him a bit of a hug...Dee and the gang

    Anna, thanks for you comment in camera corner. My daughter did the 2000m and 5000m together with the dogs and was German Champion at 5000 metres.
    With our "first generation" setters we prefered to train long distance running rather than obedience lessons because they were absolutely reliable in the fields, woods ...
    Today things have changed ... you know :-(

    Jack and Ossie were 2 of the dearest Setter and brought us such joy. Ossie was with Jack from the time he was 8 weeks old and he passed away 2 days after Jack I really think his heart was broken like ours.M

    Oh my so do I...it was freezing with driving rain and snow today when I took Fin out for his walk today, just told Wanda that it made Fin appreciate the blaster when he came home, he was shaking with the cold and dripping wet, well so was I...
    Dunfermline doesn't get too many tourists but of cause Edinburgh does, its heaving with them, we just don't go there unless we really have to in the summer, but it is very beautiful with the mountains all around, unfortunately I can't see them from my home any more, but it only takes a short journey to see them, and the beaches are wonderful to walk the dogs on, although Fin hasn't had that pleasure yet, but soon.

    Cześć Aniu,
    jeżeli będziesz gdzieś opisywać swoje wrażenia z Crufta, bardzo Cię proszę o informację. Prawda pewnie jest taka, że trzeba tam po prostu być.
    My mamy sporo planów na wiosnę. Zaczynamy od Ostrawy i Będzina (FT), potem Berlin, następnie Kalisz (FT), Praga i pewnie Bestensee. W czerwcu jedziemy na wakacje i potem będziemy planować lato i jesień. Na pewno pojedziemy na FT do Buska. Nie wiem co z Piotrkowem, bo w tym czasie jest Lipsk. Jak widzisz mamy nieco planów, a jeszcze myślę o rozpoczęciu czempionatu Łotwy i Ukrainy. Nie wiem jednak czy damy radę czasowo.
    Cały czas ćwiczymy z Jonaszem do FT. Tylko te ptaki gdzieś znikają. Wczoraj objeździliśmy kilka pól i tylko dwa bażanty, oczywiście kiedy już sobie odpuściliśmy.Brakuje nam kuropatw i tego się boimy. Pamiętamy jednak słowa Pana Molinari, który mówił, że na FT 90 % to szczęście.
    Myślę, ze to normalne, że seter w pewnym wieku więcej śpi. Jednak mam nadzieję, że Bajka czuje się dobrze. W Legnicy wyglądała świetnie. Dobrze utrzymane seterki zwykle mają się dobrze.
    Dużo miziaczków dla Bajki i Kruszynki.

    Witam Anna! Gratuluję z światłym świętem.
    Jak ci spodobało się na Crufte? Które setery ci spodobały się? Ci pisałam, że jadę w kwietniu na dwie wystawy, lecz myślę trzeba jeszcze w lipcu przyjechać do Warszawy na CACIB. Czy potrafię znaleźć hendlera dla psów, a to sama mogę nie sprawić się.
