About Me:: WW'03 EUVW'08 Ch C.I.E. Berboss Instant Coffee (1996-2010) - for me just Odin - was my first setter, she left me 2nd January 2010 after 13 years of friendship. Odin was my all and everything, my best friend in good and bad times. She taught me so much about canine intelligence and behaviour, about love and loyalty. She was purchased for being a normal dog but very soon I got bitten by the show bug. She was a real show girl and compensated my faults in the show ring :) It was her soft character and look-at-me attitude that charmed all people meeting her, friends, strangers and even judges. Thank you Odin for sharing your life with me!

After much thinking I decided to get another girl and doing some research, I ended up in Sweden. This is how Danka - MultiCh C.I.E. C.I.B. Copper's Music 'N' Paws' - came to live with us in 2005. And yes, she taught me new things about canine behaviour :) Through her I was able to get to know the naughty and the run-run-run side of the Irish Setter. She is referred to as 'crazy Danka' by the setter club, hm, does it say it all? So different from Odin, but oh so lovable as well. A real clown, adoring kids, loving dog shows and having so much fun in the fields. Having 13 champion titles and being the first setter to qualify in the field on a Hungarian field trial and gaining CIB by this. Very intelligent, observant and empathetic. Thanks Danka for being with me, love you girl!

And then Neita - Full CH Copper's Wine 'N' Roses HJCH RJCH - arrived. Still cannot decide if she has more angel or devil inside her. She is the sweetest, wants to be close to you all the time, would love to crawl under your skin if that would be possible. Everyone is in love with her because of her beauty and character - bet if I would give her away, people would want to give her back the day after :) She is the destroyer in the house, eats sofas and doors but when she looks at you with those eyes, you just can't be angry on her (for a longer time that is...). She is a big actress as well, pretending to be a real blond - was hard to realize that actually she has brains and a lot! Unbeaten in baby-puppy-junior classes, we look forward to challenges in adult classes. Neita is a talent in the fields as well, already managed to get a CQN just one year old. She backs from the first second on and does not point but sets like a real setter :-)

Pawsword Northern Song, little Zilou - the one I know from the first second on, being Danka's daughter. The one that unites all the positive virtues of Irish Setters without having a bad detail. She has only been shown in baby and puppy class because of big sister Neita. Zilou is getting better with every day and seems to develop into a copy-paste of Danka. The best character ever, the best working abilities. The girl that makes me smile with every move she makes. Love you so much, little girl!

Yes, I should have come to Celje. Really regret that I didn't and not only because of the show... Really wanted to spend some time with You, Aga and your lovely dogs.

Hi Laura, I know exactly what you mean. Bridget is a little sweetie and shares herself around us all for cuddles and then the next thing you know she is playing rough with Clancy (who is 2 and much bigger than her) and if you feet happen to get in the way, look out, cause she loves to nibble on them in the middle of her game with Clancy! Such a character though, I just love it! They are so much joy to have... couldn't imagine life without them.

I presume you are keeping a girl from Danka's litter?

I am so, so happy to hear that your babies have such good homes. Lovely when they have a doggy brother or sister also. Do they all live close to you????? Nice when you can go visit & they can visit you. Gosh, how time flies.
Nice to hear that Danka is back to being a puppy again. She has done a great job as Mummy. Now it's her turn to play & have fun. Are you keeping Zilou?????? Must have missed that!!!!!!. Wonderful news.

Hi Laura, Zilou looks like a lovely girl and I wish you all the best with her. I thought it would be too hard to resist and not keeping a girl from Danka's litter. I have usually had 3 dogs most of the time, sometimes dropping down to two and sometimes up to four, depending on the age of my oldies and some unforeseen tragedies!

Thanks for the comment on my "running home" photo. They were having a great time out in the yard after having a quick dip in the pool! What a life for a dog!!!

Well Laura I look forward to seeing pics regularly. I think I am going to have to "get the bug" and become a photo maniac too! I am so slack with photos. The last set of photos, I arranged for my friend who has a great camera and loves taking photos to take the pics of my crew!!! How slack is that!!!!

The lump was diagnosed as a swollen lymph node. Gina is on Chinese herbs now, and it is going down, slowly but surely. She had a lot of antibiotics recently (kennel cough), which has worn down her immune system.

Do you actually understand German? I see that somebody wrote you in German.
Toll, ich kann auch Deutsch schreiben.

Ja, es hilft, wenn andere an einen glauben - ich spreche aus Erfahrung ;-)) habe kürzlich auch fast aufgegeben aber dann ging es auf einmal wieder besser.... Neita sieht aus, wie wenn es ihr richtig Spass gemacht hat. Hoffentlich geht das bei ihr dann ganz von alleine! Ich drücke euch fest die Daumen. Und natürlich nochmals ganz herzliche Glückwünsche für Danka!!

My new baby comes from Greta Ross ( Autumnglow) ....she is very sweet but also very cheeky.....I am trying to integrate her slowly....Roger and Kim are not very impressed! Peter has seen it all before so does not mind her!

yes, I will try to put some more pics up....but I have not got many yet....the weather has been dreadful since I got her....pouring rain....and now turning really cold....as for one standing in a show stance!? You have got to be kidding!...mine never stand properly until they are veterans....however, I might get one of her pointing at a blackbird!
