Purchasing my first boy from Roddy and Louvain Gledhill (Waragana)

Until 2005 I still had a *Waragana" Irish Setter in my home.,When I lost Aimee "Waragana Fields O Fire"at 12 years of age

Making a 31 year friendship with these wonderful people.
I could always rely on this wonderful couple for my next puppy to show.
Roddy and Louvain made the announcement they would no longer be breeding in 1996/7.
What a blow that was for me.!!
I could not imagine not having these special bloodlines just disappearing.
Deciding to breed myself.
I have been breeding since 1999.
Only producing a litter when I wanted to keep a pup for myself to keep Roddy and Louvains breeding in my lines.
To date I have produced 9 Champions and have one girl very close to her Grand Champion title.
My last litter being born 17th December 2007.
I cannot thank Roddy and Louvain enough for all.the help the encouragment and friendship they have given me over the years.
More importantly the wondefull Irish Setters they have given me to love.
and continue my breeding programme.

hi there after not being not able to get on site for a few days its been fine and now trouble again. ive got though to my page just using firefox but its not showing pics.never mind at least i can leave you a message. hope you are well and the dogs. went to a talk wednesday hormones and sunday the tellington touch.we have a few talks done though our clubs do you get anything like that in your area.hows the weather Ash tells me hes getting hot out there.Hes still with his office but is fed up of hostels a lot of friends he has made are now travelling again so hes on his own pretty much.

hello there how are you. I was at a show sat not to good 2x3rd but she is now going out of junior into grad at open shows out of the age class. ch sh she will go into sp yrl but not at all shows meaning either open, p.grad at open shows or grad at ch shows. i had a few days unable to get on site again but it got right again a few days ago . never mind.#ash is still in sydney stopping at the central area there a railway hostel its called.

hi ash is fine he rang sunday to give us a update. hes a bit fed up of hostel life and wants to get a house to stop in but he said hes so fussy and there isnt much around at present hes still doing his little job which keeps him going.He has to go across the water via ferry boat or train to the place on the other side so he has a full day out.He gets back the hostel but at present none of his friends are there . Some have been making visits back at various times to catch up and that hes loved.He has stopped in a lot so hes able to save a little money but if he got a house share it would be more viable.He will have it hard once home as the atmosphere is so different here and with shortage of jobs the future looks bleak. #I dont know what will happen.We are having lots of companies now facing redundancy or long term hardship. Our local is JCB which is well know and of course wedgewoods they are all in a bad way.

Ive got a ch sh sat and one next sunday with willow. will take willow and erin next week.so will see what happens.I trimmed them up ready.The weather here is cold now and most have got there heating on.Good luck on the show front for you.

well as predicted i did nothing at our ch sh. i just dont get a look in to many people faces in our breed. Didnt know the judge either not that that makes any difference.,I dont know what finally won the day i just know willows dad had a 3rd.how did you go on. Today i went a talk with the goldies on behavour problems. the talk lasted a long time didnt tell me much i didnt know just confirmed things id suspected to be honest but it was interesting not many attended and questions off all so i never go mine answered so it was dissapointing.It went on longer than expected so it was a long affernoon after the clock change the body talkes days to get it right.

well i didnt get placed sat . luckily yesterday i got 2 x 2nd with willow.how as your week gone?Hows the weather we are freezing here off and on now. had a bad frost a few days ago and no deicer in the shops i been and finally got some now ready for the next burst.

went the hospical monday to see about my arm as its dead on one side.They could help ive to see another specialist for nerve damage it seems my arthritis is nothing to do with it.

not expecting ash to come home until at least aug when his visa runs out.
Ive not heard anything yet from the hospical it will take at least a couple of weeks for the paperwork to get though, i dont expect a app until the new year.
we are now into im a celebrity over here which is over there .I went a show yesterday and got res bob with k . cory was 2nd to her and willow had 2nd.~it wasnt as good as it sounds the dog with bob was only just out of puppy but with willow not looking older and up against it with this well built dog.The dog is nice a irish ,irish. born there.
what sort of job do you do.?
ive found out from ash what job hes doing exactly apart from office work the type of things the company does.
we had a flitter of snow this morning and lots of rain since.

hello there, we are cold here with deep frost at the moment.Having to get my xmas cards done im always doing them last minute and then go and forget a couple.I like to send to all my babies let everyone know im thinking of them.Then all the family ones and friends i get though loads.I know some send email cards now but not everyone has a computor lets face it.
In the old days when i worked before children i did office work. Id been in the car industry my husband is also he works for merc but used to work vauxhall garage and myself i worked for british leyland lets say.Our local garage was at the time part of a group same as my husbands then he got made redundant it shut down completely he was last to leave then got a job with merc garage a couple of years later but we had to suffer before that at the time when the boys came along.The start of the 80s were a hard time. Luckily we came though it only to have this credit crisis now but we may be fairly lucky against others.So i know all the parts on cars ....

hi my site problems are back again so ive been unable to get into my page at all. so im taking this opportunity whilst having received another message on it to do one now. we have what i term as quiet xmas . my m i l does dinner we go there then bring her back up ours for tea. boxing day just the 3 of us then back to normal .sometimes go the sales , shows if ive booked ..
We will miss our ashley being over there , he rang us last year xmas day.
Ive been a few shows not done anything to exciting but ive got 3rd ...
My friend who has a pointer puppy got res bis puppy last sunday won a sack of meal.
The dogs are fine but the cats well i worry over spice hes been very picky, and just not himself since having to loose that tooth back in may time. He ate for a short while after having it out then he went picky and its been difficult and now hes been plucking his fur with constant grooming. i try all and sundry to get food into him.It used to be suger who was difficult but he takes the cake...
or rather doesnt. He used to eat currants out of my scones.

that must be lovely getting to spend time with the little one.i have visited little katie a couple of times thats the one who was ill and its so nice to see her.
when i went a couple of weeks back she is quite big now and is a handfull.
Its something you forget when theyre go up.ill have to put up a pic of her now ive got a couple of nice ones from our visit.#
Im due to go the hospical wednesday i was suprised to get to see the specialist quickly so ill see what they have to say .
Everybody i putting decorations up on our estate now.You can do what we call the blackpool tour if you have children .. Some of the surrounding estates have lights on the houses.We have never decortated outside. Enough putting up a little inside and its when you have to take them down again...
Ash rang us last week hes now in a appartment in sydney Chippendale 5 mins from the hostel if you know it at ...Hes sharing with a american couple till they go and see what happens next.Went of a show yesterday and my friend with her pointer got bis puppy last week it was rbis puppy.

hi there we have snow at last some might say.otherwise we might not want it.It looks nice children sliding on our hills. Took willow and keely up but i had to leave erin and shadow at home i cant walk them together its hard on foot.You forget when youre used to the car.Had the car of the road a coupleof days last week so that was a pain and i had to walk them then.I took 3 but the frost it was again slippy.Hope all is well with you and your gang...

i was wondering how it was going with everything and i understand about watching the news it must be the hardest thing.It being so cold here we are waiting to have some sun and there its too much.
Ive been so ill this week and had to cancel lmy appointment at the hospical i had Gastro Enteritis and cannot remember beingso bad for a long time so ive seen the news quite a lot lying in bed.
The poor animals in that heat must be exausted and so thirsty.I hope you go on all right and keep on top of things.We are all thinking of you huggies for the brood from us all...

hi marie having difficulty with the site again getting into my friends it wont work i was going to do a mess the other way but it wouldnt work either.
Anyhow ive good new Ashley lhas come home safe and sound . I would like to know if its the same for you.Ive been quite worried about the fires getting no news here over them.Glen collected ash from the airport and i was gobsmacked when i saw him lost for words .. thought it was a mirage...

Well hasnt the week gone fast since he come home its 2 wks nearly already.
Hows it going at your end Ash said its now Autumn there and its now Spring here.
We are having a windy time though some places are getting sun but not us.
Ash has had to visit the dole today .Its not a pleasant thing having to go there .Things have changed here since he left.The dole office moved for a start.
Ive not heard from the hospical so i asssume the records still lmissing looks like ill end up ringing for a report from them.
I had Shadow go off his legs just before ash made it home and i the took him the vets and got the results after ash came home. Anyhow its all clear.Its his birthday in a few weeks.

hi we are all ok.Ash is coping ok his tan is wearing thin so hes on cream to save it longer.Hes had to go job agencies and the dole to put his name down.
We had a couple of friends of his down on saturday who he met while there one from hull the other from macclesfield so that was nice for him.Hes also catching up with his friends here.But without much money he cant do a lot so he spends other time on the comp so he can keep up with his friends in oz.
He made friends with so many around the world he will never see half of them again but it was a experiance ffor him..
Good luck at your next show i have one on good friday and saturday...

What a small world it is...I used to write to Louvain a few years ago and then somehow we lost touch, e-mail addresses lost etc. What a shame that she and Roddy are no longer breeding. I hope they are well. I love your photos.

Hi , im laid up with a cold . Its this english weather gets you down when it rains.mind you it started when it was sunny.Its the decorating all that paint im allergic to the smell,one smell and i drop like a fly.The dogs are well. Cory now after all this trauma is today clear thank goodness of e coli.He went the vets and the next treatment he had planned is now not happening.Ash is still trying for a job not a lot around as you know.He has just had some dole money but not much to do anything one tank of petrol litterly.

Cory doing well thank goodness and im better after my cold.As for Ash hes now working dont know at what but for the fire service.
Keely coming up for his 7 th birthday june.
I had a bad incident with a man who owned a Rott and it has left me very jumpy.He told me he would stab me and my dogs so as you can see im a little traumatized by it all.He reported me to the police .The dogs didnt bite chase or anything just bark at him for his disgraceful language and threats.

Weve had some wonderful weather this weekend..Ash went to hull to see a friend he made in Auss while he was there.I went to our county show wed and willow got 3rd and keeely 2nd.and sunday we went to chester and got bob which was nice ...Ive now found her in season after all that waiting its finally happened. ~Only by chance i discovered it.. Jules my fiends pointer was very interested and hes a baby just turned one.He was drooling on sunday but nothing anyhow monday she was..so its all thanks to him else i prob wouldnt have noticed with them being clean..

hello, how are you.Ash is off to Peru in a couple of weeks.
Ive had Erin Operated on last night to take off lumps of which she had a few.I was bothered if left age and could get bigger and possibly loosing her early that sort of thing.The risks.Anyhow shes quite good considering.She ate a little last night and has slept sound.The weather here is so hot they keep going in the watering spots to cool down .So we have soggy doggys each walk.Took Erin walk this morn with them as usual but didnt walk as far as i didnt want her to get near to many bushes .Went off quickly and back home safe and sound.

hi erin is coming along fine plenty of energy.we had a long spell of sun and it was so hot and uncomfortable now were back to a mixed bag of rain and wind and thunder.The other dogs are all ok.They did wonder about Erin at first but she is so laid back they follow suit.

Ash hasnt gone yet hes off this thursday.he was waiting to finish this job first.Then when he returnes they hope to get him back.Hes very happy and looking forward to seeing his friend out there.When in Aust he bought her a paddington bear.Shes very pretty girl.
Erin is coming on ok .Just had her stiitches out.she has a pot of fluid on her front at press im hoping it will go soon.

Bridget is still in quarantine but she is doing really well. We fly down to Sydney next weekend to pick her up on Sunday morning. I can't wait!!

Glad to hear Baloo is settling in. I think it was great that you were able to send Elton to Peter and I can imagine how much you are missing him. I would feel the same way having to part with one of mine. A new doggy friend certainly helps to ease the pain. I know the tragedy of losing a dog so young and so unexpectedly.

Sounds like you have a busy weekend at the kennels and renovating as well! Don't forget to take some time-out to relax! It's so hard sometimes. I am having 2 days at home this weekend and doing as little as possible.
