What a small world! I loved my dog as a child and was devastated when she died. Penny was beautiful and the most placid dog ever (Downsway Bright Penny). You can really tell the dogs that have Scarletti in them. My sister also has an Irish Setter called Ruby (Shaytell Peggy Sue) who is now nearly 3. Christmas 2008 we decided to relent and get a puppy for my boys and saw the advert for Colette's puppies. I took my sister with me to look and fell in love with Lily. I try to make out she belongs to my sons but the truth is she is well and truly my baby!!!! My husband didn't even like dogs and now she is his princess.

I agree with you about how different the dogs looked only 30 years ago. Jasper was never a great specimen of the breed but he was a fabulous dog to take into junior handling classes, very loyal partner who wouldn't show for anyone else!

Rufus kennel name is Reddins Keats...
He is such a little character, I have a few boarders this week so he's in his element - lots of mates to play with!! He's eating and sleeping well:-) and taken to Archie's tail - constantly hanging off it!! Archie been very good - not grumbled too much - bless him.
I trust you're ok - Are you at Bath today? I was entered but haven't gone...

All fine here, just chasing me little Rufus around after shoes, socks etc... really funny little chap - very quick learner... he's eating well and sleeps well too. He has certainly done us well in lifting the spirits here....

Steo is a puppy from Sue Randle's litter. So sired by Reddins Pause at Magiconkers. Dam is Covarney Bewitched between Rionore. 5 years since our last puppy and long time out of showing, but I like what's behind the sire specifically....what we are familiar with...Just want some fun!

Steo is a male.....you know how I love my big boys! Short for Stiofan (Stephen) and prompted by Stephen Gately from Boyzone...I know I'm sad! :-)) But I loved his voice.

oh sorry, I forgot your other question! He's just 6 months so he has a Limit show locally tonight, and then Darlington on Sunday.....we must be totally bonkers!

Sorry for the delay in replying. Hamilton is Caskeys Connemara (brother to Concept, Checkmate etc) Sire Caskeys Persuader and Dam Dunnygask Ginger Spice at Caskeys. Wellington was same Sire and Caskeys Vogue, very sadly he died in feb this year from an undiagnosed mass in his chest. Micawber is Banksett Baron Buzet Sire Mantafield Denis the Menace and Dam Poyanna Flower Amelie at Banksett. He came to us in May at 10mths as his previous owner was going to Dubai and Hamilton having returned from his hols with Mum, aunts, uncles etc wasn't eating having lost his half brother in Feb and we went to Aus in March for 6 weeks. So couldn't really wait for a Caskeys litter. Dempsey who died in 03 aged 15 was out of Caskeys and Gaybrons.
Needless to say we don't show but meet up with some of the breeders at least 4/5 times a year. Hooe to hear from you soon, Lois
