Irish Setters have been a passion of mine since childhood memories of my first encounter of one in Maryland. With the film BIG RED the die was cast. I have enjoyed setters since 1981 first in Australia and then back in the USA. I brought two back to the states with me KELLY and KATY SCARLETT.
Today I have one Aussie girl,Kumara ("Sweet Potato" Australian Aboriginal) and a Scarlett Rose - a rescue from Save Our Setters in Tennessee.
Marc just read your profile, may I ask which kennels your girl Kumara came from and how old she is? From what I read she is from here in Australia! I do apoligise again I called her a he! as I mentioned in your photo she reminds me very much of my Irish Flame the absolute love of my life :0) . Take care Dianne and Irish.
Hi Marc, I'm sometimes a little like my setters, I could of read on and seen where you had lived and where your Irish had come from. I grew up as a child near East Bentliegh and have moved around but only in Victoria since married days. We now live in South Gippsland on a rural property, although it feels remote to me I could have more Irish!!
My Flame came to me from the RSPCA eight years ago and I don't know he's breeding, always disappointing not knowing and he reminded me so of your Kumara. I'll keep in touch and thank you for the friends invite. Take care Dianne and Irish
