Oh Jacqueline I am so sorry to read about the departure of your beautiful Belle. I should have read your profile first, sorry. Sadly we are sharing the same horrible experience. I know your feelings believe me, my first Irish Setter, MC, is no more since the 9th of May this year, and there is not one day I do not cry, I know time is a great healer, but time seems to be frozen here!!! So like you I have lost my first one, and I am absolutely devastated. I do have another Irish Setter though, Darwin, who will be 6 in October, and was brought up more by his old brother (not blood related) than myself. Darwin is the sweetest thing on earth, I love him to bits, but nothing can replace MC or fill the horrible emptiness of his departure. I do not expect anyone to understand me, but I miss him too much, the pain is even physical.
On a more cheerful note now, I am glad that you have your pups .. they are so funny at that age, it will bring many smiles on your face now, even if your heart is still broken by Belle departure. We do not replace our beloved ones, we just give a chance to other ones, and especially we give ourselves a lot of pleasure to have all of them.
I was watching the pictures of your pups, they are adorable, so cute !!! I am envious. So you have a female and a male now, are related? I think it was a very good idea to take two, especially two beauties like them.
I wish you all the pleasure in the world with your two adorable babies Jacqueline.
