When Diesel met Misty

My English Setter girl, Misty made a new friend today, a Handsome Newfoundland named Diesel. Because Misty is deaf she did not hear Diesel approach her so he took her by surprise. Misty was very shy with Diesel because she is missing her English Setter companion, Hobson very, very much. Hobson died from Hemangiosarcoma on 28 December 2015. We are both lost without our precious English Setter boy. If Hobson had been there he would have sent Diesel packing quick smart. After the initial meeting Misty and Diesel got on very well.

I came across this video today, 25 May 2016 that I created more than 3 years ago but set to Private, most likely because it was too short. The tears streamed down my face when I watched this video. Hobson was suffering from a serious undiagnosed neck problem at the time that had twisted his spine and his pelvis and caused severe arthritis in both hind legs. All the vets and natural therapists kept telling me there was nothing wrong. Hobson was suffering extreme pain because of all these "incompetents"! Hobson was also suffering from undiagnosed Demodectic Mange because the vets had either not checked for this or else performed the test incompetently. Despite his ill health he went out into the surf to make certain Misty was alright and then he came straight to me. I miss my Beautiful English Setter boy Hobson so incredibly much. He was an extraordinary dog and the gift to me of a lifetime. xxxxx

Sadly, my English Setters, Hammer and Rose and my Arabian horse, Khomet have died. All gone too soon. My heart is broken. The tears still stream down my face when I think of them and when I watch videos like this. I wish the videos were longer. Thankfully, my English Setter, Hobson is still with me, and now Misty has joined our family.

My English Setter Hobson is now able to go on his walks again

I took this video of Hobson while I was being dragged along by Misty. Because Hobson cannot keep up with Misty yet, I tie the lead to his halter so that he can walk at his own pace. This area where we walk is very quiet. Several months ago Hobson was at extreme risk of becoming paralysed. He was unable to move at all without assistance. He still cannot lift his neck up to the normal height. He can walk on his own now though and he can enjoy his walks again. Hobson is still on pain medication but he no longer suffers from chronic pain. He recently had another set back and lost the majority of his coat and some of the weight he had re-gained, but he is back on track again. Misty tried to be a good English Setter girl while I was taking the video. She gets so excited on our walks particularly because of all the bird life.
I chose this music because of the title because I feel Super Duper Love for Hobson and Misty and Hallmark, Khatalyst, Charlamayne and Sam and every one of my animal children and because I love Soul and R&B music.

I have not had enough time to spend with Hallmark, Khatalyst and Charlamayne lately. I had a day off work today. I called out to them to come to me, and this is what happened. It was not meal time. In fact I had already fed them. Hallmark pig-rooted and farted with happiness. Little Charlamayne kept up despite his short legs. I think my horses have missed me too! Misty was there with me, as always. Only a short video but very special moments in time.
