Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

Well he is only 10mths old and not a day goes by where I am astounded ... I am a new Irish owner so maybe that accounts for this ....

He brings me is most treasured thing (can be a half chewed hide chew, sock or a leaf) and he wants to use my tools to hold it for him but if I fancied a bite then its mine ... (I have pretended to chew it and all he does is watch. as if to say ok mum you have some ....) But this morning on our walk in the rain and cold on the top of the bing I lost my footing and almost splashed on by backside ... I may have made some sort of noise resembing a swear word as I tried to keep upright ..... He stopped in his tracks and looked up at me then came back and walked off to the side of the track I was taking, as if to say come this way mummy and you wont slip...... I followed he walked on and then looked back as if to say this time Murphy knows best .....

What I am saying is we are beginng to be a team calling on each other when we know the other is best and I am keen to hear your stories and experiences of this wonderful breed ......

Thankyou and yes although he is only a very young dog who can be v naughty (usually makes me laugh though) we do have the best bond and he can be gentle and extremely loving.... Everyday with Murphy is precious even when he tears up an important item then looks for a drop it swap .... Today he ate up Friday's paper which I hadnt yet read and when I came downstairs he looked at me as if to say hey mummy this is the best noise when I rip it up! He springs up with excitement, He has me hooked .......As after all was friday's paper and well out of date!
this is a wonderful story :)
