Darling Nicky

Tomorrow is the first anniversary of the death of our darling Nicky.
She was our third setter and tragicallyonly lived for seven years, dying from a brain tumour.
It has taken us a full year to recover but we are now on the lookout for another adult bitch.
Best wishes to Tony and thank you for the wonderful years we spent with Nicky.

Miles (Vermilions Treasure Island) [06/04/2003 - 12/29/2015]

Time marches on and the cycle of life completes with another loved one.

Miles, you blessed my life in so many different ways. You were a fantastic companion.

You are greatly missed already. It won't be the same without you.

When you get to 'the bridge', find your cousin Cedric and have him introduce you to your extended brothers and sisters. Tell everyone I love them.

Our Joy

I finally managed to take some pictures of Joy yesterday. We've had some beautiful days this Autumn and went for many a long walk. Joy is seven and a half now and beginning to get grey but she is full of energy otherwise. What's more, and we're very happy about it, she did not have a seizure for four years now…

Sophie and the dreaded bloat

Have had a very distressing week with Sophie...She had bloat last week and I had to rush her to an emergency veterinary hospital which was luckily only 10 mins in the car. She last had bloat and torsion in July 2013 ( she had bloat and torsion 3 times in 8 months in 2012-2013, then last year had mammary tumour removed which really knocked her for six ) She went into shock very quickly this time. She had previous gastropexy x2 in the past so I of course was so worried that her stomach had…
