The life and times of Holly - the dog who thinks she's a person

Holly's been through a tough old slog. Her health hasn't been the best aged 2 1/2 she was diagnosed with a huge tumour in her leg around the size of a satsuma. Our previous vet thought it was a sist but when he left and a new vet took over he wanted it tested. She then had another 2 tumours removed from her front leg and chest area 6 months later.

She found some fleas playing with the hedgehog in the garden and was allergic to them. Off to the vets for some treatment which she reacted to and combined with the reaction Holly managed to bite and scratch herself bald. Poor girl was looking really sorry for herself.

All seemed much better but shortly afer we got Poppy her weight ballooned and she started to struggled with the stairs. Off to the vets again this time for thyroid tests - at 6 yrs oldHolly had Hypothyroidism and her thyroid levels were so low they were undedectable. Since then she's been on low fat cream cheese (with a magic blue pill in) every day and much better. Until the womb infection.

Aw poor Holly, also poor insurance company - but the vet managed to buy a new car!

Holly taught us how brilliant Setters were - she made us work very hard. She set light to the kitchen and abandoned my dad 2 miles away in a country park and made her own way home. She's an independant setter but we love her!
