Well, if this isn't an advert for the gentle nature of the breed, I really don't know what is! :-).

It really is so lovely to have a dog that is not only loyal, affectionate and playful, but also incredibly gentle :-). Bluebell (the rabbit) shrinks to the back of her cage when our Spaniel is around, when Harley stops to say hello, she bounds up to the bars and sticks her nose through the gaps for Harley to lick and snuffle her nose. He has his head in her cage when I've been cleaning her out and all he does is lick her or sniff her and the feeling is mutual as a few minutes after this photo was taken, Bluebell was grooming his feathers for him :-). She disappeared between his front legs and hopped out the other side of him and he couldn't work out where she'd gone! :-D.

I agree that the breed is such a joy. Bailey caught a wild rabbit but he let it go. The rabbit hopped away so fast, all I could see was a streak of white fluff. He chased a rabbit only once for fun but now the wild rabbits and my red boy shares the park in harmony. He doesn't even bother with the squirrels or cats. I think he is just getting wiser by the minute.
