Sorry sorry Karen, I wasn't aware you have lost Duke, I read he was very poorly though. Karen, it will not make things easier but shall we say that you are so lucky to have shared your life with him, I am sure he was a very special dog and he is an absolute stunner, and one of the best present ever given to you...

That's ok Chantal, I feel blessed I have all the memories :) Also i take comfort in the fact that this photo was taken probably a week before we had to say goodbye. He had a zest for life and had a lovely walk and swim in the stream the day before he went to sleep, a real soldier to the end. One of the hardest things i have ever had to do.
