My beautiful boy, Khomet

This is one of my favourite photos of Khomet, my beautiful grey Arabian horse surrounded by the adoring children. This photo is taken at a local equestrian centre. We were visiting Khomet's girlfriend, Molly who is owned by Chrissie, the riding instructor. Chrissie and Molly are on the left. Khomet's presence took everyone's breaths away. Unfortunately Khomet died suddenly and tragically in a similar way to Hammer. His death hit me extremely hard. It seems like only yesterday I was surrounded by my beautiful English Setters, Hobson, Rose and Hammer, all huddled around me, in my face, reminding me how much they loved me and needed me. Even though Hammer's voice had been taken away from him, he was standing directly in front of me, looking directly into my eyes, and trying to bark as loudly as he could, to help me. I would not have survived without all my beautiful children.
