Hi Chantal, thank you for your kind comments to my pictures. We sure enjoyed celebrating Charlie's birthday, can't believe he's two years old...

The cake is quite easy, and while Charlie is not easily seduced by food, he does like it a lot. It's basically half a pound of liver liquidised with 150 ml milk (not the nicest smell for a vegetarian!!), then mixed with half a pound of flour, a bit of olive oil and one egg. Divide the mix in two small cake tins and cook for 30 mins at 180 degrees. It's then sandwiches with a layer of cream cheese mixed with bacon bits, and covered on top with some more cream cheese, and I used a vitakraft beef stick treat, chopped in pieces, for the top...

It's very close to a recipe in a book called 'pupcakes', by Stephanie Mehanna. It's a lovely book with lots of recipes especially for dogs, I have a copy and intend to try a few of her recipes, they all look quite interesting and have funky names like 'liver bait fudge' and 'tasty muttballs'...

Charlie is very sweet when getting presents... he immediately know when something is going to be for him, and goes to each of our kids in turn, knowing he doesn't get just one present from us, but one from each of us... he's like a little kid!
