Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

Karlee(2years old) is on the right, she is an Irish Setter and Drake(exactly 1 years old this Jan2012) on the left he is a Gordon Setter.

Summer Augest 2010.

My Fiance and I Adopted Karlee, she was about 1 or so. The people who had her, couldnt take care of her because they lived in a town.
They Karlee's last owners was going to take her back to a Kennel because she was to much to handle.
Karlee was always getting loose and would runn allover town and would release herself on the floor at the sight of anykind of excitment because she was not loved, she was ignored and the people did not care about her at all.
She was bound to a kennel(for in the house) all the time 24/7.

Saddly that Kennel they were going to take her back to, burnt down and was shutdown and they had no where to go with Karlee.
My Fiance and I, heard of this news and then got to see Karlee and at first sight (it was like a match made in heaven.

Karlee is such an amazing girl, and it took love to fix her(thats all). Not even after two days of having her in our home, she was like a brand new dog.

I couldnt imagine giving her anything but an amazing life. She does to much for us, to not be loved.

About 5 months later, I said to my Fiance I want a gordon setter to go with Karlee. I just thought it would be the precious thing in the world. I was right. Karlee and Drake go together like two pea's in a pod.

Karlee teaches Drake everything and that I love, She is just everything in a dog anybody could ever want. I love that both of my setters are so mannered, and it makes me laugh because there such big dogs and walk around the house with such Grace. I wouldnt want anyother type of breed for a dog(the setter family) is such an amazing breed, I feel very lucky to have such beautiful dogs, whom love me just as much as i love them!

Amanda sounds like you have the bug....and it never leaves.  I also have a rescued female Irish Setter named Molly.....difference in her was amazing also once we got her home with us.  No one that knew her before could believe she was the same wild IS after two short weeks with us.  Enjoy your beautiful Karlee and handsome Drake ( love the pictures ) and welcome to ES.

Sherry its amazing thing, both you and I were both handed an amazing kind of breed. Its almost as if god just wanted it to be that way, he knew we would love and be everything to Karlee and Molly. I am more thankful then anything to be able to have Karlee. Like im more lucky, then she is.  She is my love bug and she is irrplaceable,

She is my child(that is how deeply i feel about her). She acts like a human, in a dogs body and its just simply amazing. how she just knows, KNOWS EVERYTHING! HAhaha,,, Lives such a graceful life i couldnt imagine having anyother dog. Karlee is my everything! I am so happy you saved Molly, im sure you feel the exact same way as i do. :) Molly is beautiful!
