Hallmark and Misty
This is a photo of Misty showing concern for Hallmark's foot about 2 weeks after she arrived. Misty is a real mother to Hallmark as well as Hobson. Hallmark appreciates Misty too.

think, it is not caring it is only curiosity .... see the same when my dogs come in ...the cat must sniff to the paws :-)

I can assure you, Undine, that my English Setter, Misty has a very different temperament from your cat. Hallmark suffered a severe foot infection which burst through his coronary band. Misty was not sniffing his wound out of curiosity. She is an extremely caring girl and she has become close friends with Hallmark, even though he is a 15.1h Arabian horse. Misty is also extremely caring with Hobson and she kisses the wounds around his eyes and his ears.

I am just trying to catch up with comments made on my recent photos. Susan's comment to Undine has gone. I do not know whether Susan has left ES or whether it is another comment that has disappeared. Susan was only trying to help. I was surprised by Undine's comment as well. Anyway, hopefully all the "lost" comments will come back.
