Misty's 2nd Grooming
I took this photo of Misty this evening. Please note she is not restrained in any way. Misty had her 2nd grooming yesterday. We are experiencing extremely humid weather at the moment. Understandably Misty was a little fidgety so I finished her grooming as quickly as I could. It is not perfect but I believe she looks presentable. I am particular about the grooming of the ears, neck and the feet. I will not subject Misty to another photo this evening to show this. None of my English Setters are restrained on a grooming table. They have the choice of jumping down if they choose. I do not believe in the Alpha theory of training for dogs or for horses. I do not believe in human dominance over animals. Misty was not advertised or sold to me as a show quality English Setter. Her breeder was honest. She has a beautiful personality, she is strong and healthy, she is a "wild child", and she is a very, very good girl.

Susan, Misty looks absolutely beautiful. You are doing a wonderful job with her. She is a very pretty girl & obviously enjoys her grooming sessions with you.

She's sooo pretty Susan, I would never have known she's not "show quality", I love her! Nice grooming also. My Yorkie would take advantage of your good nature though and run around with a filthy beard! Sometimes I have to be a strict Mommy and say "If you want to sleep with me, you're getting your face washed and teeth brushed!" Lol
