A short story for you ... my mom has visited Ireland about three times over the past 60 years, and on the basis of this experience has declared that there are no irish setters in Ireland.  :)  I have tried to suggest that just maybe they were all elsewhere at the exact moments of her visit, but she is very stubborn.  I look forward to "introducing" her to Biggie!!  :)

Ah thats interesting!! Its actually rare enough to see setters in my area, the other 2 setter I know are rescue dogs too from the pound, how on earth such beauties end up there i don't know though!!!

Two of my three setters have been rescues.  Despite their beauty and fun personalities, I would say it is fairly obvious why they are occasionally in need of a new home!!!  Not everyone has the requisite patience and good humor ...  I will leave you be now.  Merry Christmas!!
