I am so happy for you! He is beautiful and he is Ellie's cousin! How cool is that? I remember that was a long 8 weeks waiting for my pup to come home.

That's very cool Pat! It's a funny pic... he's sooooo sleepy, doesn't want to be bothered with a photo shoot! lol

He's adorable Kimberly and the wait will be worth all those wonderful years you will spend with your Irish :))

I am excited Louise, I began my "investigation" into Setters in September, so once I finally found the breeder that I wanted, and then "qualified" as a potential home for one of her pups, then I had to wait for the breeding.....and the confirmation.....and the whelping.....lol. That's why I live vicariously through all of you setter owners here on ES. : )    Of course, I do have my "old girls" to keep me company, but they're happy to lie around with me all day, so I'm looking for some motivation to get off the couch and I think I've found just the solution! lol

Ah yes Kimberly, I remember going through exactly the same process as you and from start to finish I think it was nearly a year. So by the time i could bring him home I was fit to pop! I never had dogs before ( my hubby had), so i really had to do my research and get loads of info from the breeders. Lucky for me the breeders approved of us and then my life changed when Reuben arrived. Yes I found it hard work and sometimes very frustrating esp as I never had a dog before and there was this hyper puppy with big brown eyes, bold as brass and quite cheeky! Best thing I ever did and he has enriched our lives significantly. Trouble is i now have the setter bug (amongst other species as i love reptiles too) and probably will never be without one or two or three, eeekkkkkk.

ES was the most helpful place for me when I got Reuben and the people here are so friendly and we can all be setter nutters and not worry about it!
