- My parents bought their first Irish Setter in 1976 and have been smitten with the breed ever since. We purchased my first Irish Setter puppy in 2009 and I immediately understood why! We now have two beautiful girls; 2 year old Calli (Fernstart Love In A Mist At Ferasheen), and 1 year old Niamh (Kirkavagh Habena at Ferasheen)
