Welcome - I too have two Irish Setters - have had Irish for 29 years and am
adding another puppy to our family - next month. Ours are part of our
family and are also not worked or shown. We also do not breed but we
sure love the breed.
Welcome here! I'd say the majority here love their dogs primarily as pets, so you are by no means the only one:-)
40 years of Irish... I bet you have many story to tell.
