- I fell in love with Irish setters 20 years ago when we had our first Irish setter Rita. I did not own another dog after she passed away. But the crazy reds were always on my mind. It took me 13 years to convince my husband and now that our daughter is old enough (8 yo) to be around a boisterous setter; we have our beautiful girl, Eva in our lives. Our crazy red :)
