My wife Kathy and I have owned three Irish Setters over 36 years. Our last, Rusty (pictured), came from Redbramble and Ed Dubrowsky in 2000. Rusty (Redbramble Artful Dodger) was the son of Redbramble Herbert Pocket and Redbramble Little Nell. He was our companion for 11 1/2 years, until his passing in 2011.
I was saddened to hear of Ed Dubrowsky's passing. Rusty was his gift to us. I can only guess at how many other people were blessed by the fruits of his breeding, and his love for Irish Setters.
I vowed after Rusty died that he was the last. Too much pain and heartache. But time has passed; and I am beginning to open up to the possibility of another Irish Setter in our family.
